Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
It's hard to believe that Full Moon is the young Brandy's fourth album. Despite her youth, the former Moesha TV star has had an admirable career. Her debut single, the hyperkinetic "I Wanna Be Down" boasted rap support from female MCs, Lyte, Yo Yo and Queen Latifah-not bad for a teenager! Since then all her subsequent singles, from "Baby" to her irreverent cover of Phil Collins' "Another Day in Paradise" have been radio-friendly A-list hits. And let's not forget her duet with Monica, the classic "The Boy is Mine".

Like her previous albums, Brandy has an on-form, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins in the producer's chair and her deeper vocal power and technique are never in question. Not only does this emphasise her growing maturity, but the songs are as good as ever. The single, "What About Us" with its jerky syncopated R&B-hip-hop rhythms has smash written all over it but luckily this isn't a one-hit wonder album. The title track and "I Thought" are cut from the same elegant and funky cloth and should get even the more jaded fan jumping. Brandy updates her style very well showing off her versatility throughout. Just cock an ear to the bouncing "All of Me" and "It's Not Worth It" with their atypical two-step rhythms, the Aaliyah-like "Anybody" and the lovely ballad, "Nothing" and you will understand why Brandy has the potential to cross over into even bigger mainstream success.--Reuben Dessay

This album is a modern R&B classic! It takes you on a journey through the many different emotions involved with love, loss, infidelity and so on. Brandy sings with an incredible amount of passion, sensuality and range. Some of the best tracks include:

The best RnB album ever!!5
Brandy has a magical voice and has proven herself on this album. I have always loved brandy since I first heard I wanna be down. To me this is her best album ever. From the upbeat songs like I thought, can we and what about us to the ballads Nothing, Come a little bit closer, Wow and Love wouldn't count me out and the mid-tempo Apart, this album is worth the buy and it surely doesn't dissappoint. If you love ballads you will love this album and the same goes for fast-beat songs. This album made me buy all the other brandy albums out there.

Best songs for me: come a little bit closer, wow, nothing, apart

Worst song: I dont have one

simply the best

On the eve of the release of the new album 'Afrodisiac' i would like to remind customers of some of Brandy's earlier work. Along the same lines as Brandy's extraordinary new single 'talk about our love' Full moon encapsulates a whole range of 100% amazing songs. Something Brandy has always managed to do, unlike EVERY othe rnb singer of her generation, is to keep her very fashionable music style totally unique. Perhaps it deserves a whole new genre all for itself? All i can tell you is that listening to the two singles 'what about us' and 'full moon' doesn't even compare to listeneing to the album. I'm actually surprised they were the only two released as singles, as tracks 3-8 and 10-17 are superior (although the aforementioned two are still 9/10 tracks. I am very surprised this album never got the status it deserved, but to be honest that makes it even more special to me. And although i would like to describe the better songs off the album, it would be impossible to seeing as this album is truly PERFECT! Please buy this album, it'll grow on you and it should keep you going until album number 4 is released. Enjoy! And listen out for Michel Jackson on one of the tracks- this album really has got everything! (Oh and grab a copy of Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella as well, i loved it!)
