Familiar...but not too familiar!
Ben Human, formerly Ben Addison of 'Corduroy' fame continues his friendly, funky journey through nostalgia. This album works fundamentally as a follow up to Corduroy's last album 'Clik!'. Those of you looking for more 70s-cop-show/retro jazz are barking up the wrong tree. That is not to say that this is a bad album by any means! It still retains elements of funkiness and retro chic but implants them within a more electronic world. The flavour hasn't gone it's just changed. It's all about samples and beats and using technology with the same kind of improvisation that Corduroy used their instruments. Give it time and the echoes of 70's nostalgia will slowly seep through and pull you in.

This is a funky mix of up beat human sounds. Its like a musical equivilant of a spider man comic. Its clever, amusing and very groovy. Its post-modern rocket trip to the planet funkadelia. Imagine a night out with Quentin Tarantino and the Hair Bear Bunch.........this is the sound track. Enjoy.
