Product Description

The 1982 death of Randy Rhoads was a crushing blow for OzzyOsbourne--not only did he lose one of the very best rock guitarists of all time, but he lost a dear friend, song collaborator, and a founding member of his solo band. But to Ozzy's credit, he somehow summoned the strength to soldier on. For his first studio album since Randy's death, 1983's BARK ATTHE MOON, Osbourne discovered another gifted young player from California, Jake E. Lee. The album was another big hit, and eventually reached platinum certification. The album's accompanying tour, which featured openers Motley Crue, was a success as well.
The album opening title track has becomea fan favourite and concert staple over the years, and remains one of Ozzy's most furious rockers. Other highlights include "Rock n' Roll Rebel", as well as the gothic "Centre of Eternity", and a surprisingly gentle, string-laden ballad, "So Tired". And while melody is stressed on such compositionsas "You're No Different" and "Waiting for Darkness", other selections like "Now You See It (Now You Don't)" and "Slow Down" have more of a heavy metal sound. Featured as a bonus track on the '95 CD remaster is the rarity "Spiders in the Night".

Customer Reviews

I think it's a great album.5
Well i downloaded this album and i think it was the original version not the remasterd version so i'm reviewing the original. I dont know about the remasterd version i heard a few complaints about it, but the original version of the album is brilliant it has awesome solos, great riffs, good vocals by Ozzy all the tracks are great. The thing is i havn't heard the remasterd version so i dont know if it's anygood just by this and see what you think. Good solo album by Ozzy who would later turn into a joke by having his own reality show with his annoying family.

Give it a listen4
No this is not as good as Blizzard of Oz but there are some great tracks on here including Bark at the Moon and Rock'n'Roll Rebel. I believe this album is worth a place in any Ozzy Osbourne fan's collection.

A SLIGHT LET DOWN BUT STILL LISTENABLE4
I bought this when I was on holiday as I am a big Ozzy fan and owned his other albums. On 1st listen I knew most of the songs as I own the Prince Of Darkness album but it was still a good album.

I didn't think it was as good as No More Tears but listenable. Ozzy fans will already own this and know every song on it word for word.
