Amazon.co.uk Review
Apparently the master tape for Fingathing’s second album Superhero Music was slightly burnt and melted in a car crash. Let’s hope the damage wasn’t too bad, or they won’t be able to claim their woozy film scores and well paced beats are anything more than the result of heat damage. Luckily they have a similarly solid debut, The Main Event to back them up as a different force in a genre that has a slight tendency to be anonymous and uninspiring. Their real strength lies in the use of a live double bass, which band member Sneaky is classically trained in the use of, and DJ Peter Parker, who wears his comic book obsession on his sleeve with a selection of samples that those well versed in B-movies will probably recognise.
It is tracks like "Haze" with it’s 70’s rock meets 90's chill, or the drowsy swamp guitar of "Once Upon A Time in the East" that breaks the most new ground for them. When they take their time, they are able to compete favourably with more melody-minded acts like Royskopp. Much as they may dislike the term, Fingathing are an act in the process of maturing nicely. --Chris Blenkarn

Unique Sound... Best of UK Hip-Hop!!!
The second album from the incredibly talented Manchester duo does not fail to impress. The combination of scratching and double bass works unbelieveably well. This album is the sort of album you can listen to a thousand times purely because it has such a range of sounds on it. From amazing blissed out tracks such as Drunken Master II and Wasting Time to the really hard hitting Criminal Robots and Don't Turn Around. Parker and Sneaky's skills are amazing and if you buy this album and love it, which to be honest there is no doubt about, go and see them live if u ever get the chance as they are even better!
Superhero Music - Music to listen to.
This is an album well worthy of five stars, check this out and the rest of the Grand Central stuff. Fingathing have similarities with Shadow, and the Herbaliser. There sound is fresh and unique. Everybody I know who has listened to this album has fallen in love with it.
Double bassed scratched mixed and flexed hipiddity hop
Take 1 double bass and some decks go a bit crazy with some film scores and you get Fingathing.
This is quite honestly one of the freshest, most original, and consistently good instrumental hip hop albums i have heard in ages. The kind of thing you can bung on in the hifi and pick up the mood at a party, they're great live too.
