the wicked is crazy penis!
I was a bit dubious about this album at first, simply because of their name - to keep it brief, this is a wonderful collection of summery house, without it descending into being cheesey vocal crap or too hard to listen to. The first tune has a fantastic sample of Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) from the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - brilliant, what a way to start an album! The second tune, You Started Something is now one of my alltime favourites, and there are a few more that would fit nicely into the middle of a deep/funky house set. This is a great album to wake up to, and that is one of the highest compliments you can give music I think. Don't be put off by the name, the Wicked is Music, and this music is wicked. Highly recommended.
welcome to the chocolate factory
Right well ill start by saying that far too many people give 5 stars to albums that blatently don't deserve it.I was enchanted by the first tune when it reared its head in an Australian club and it blew me away.Possibly one of the best samples ive ever heard.Aside from that not only does this album consist of the most wonderfuly sung/crafted lyrics but has fresh and funky beats and basslines to back it up.The 1st and 2nd tracks are as addictive as they are cool and could well be stompin summer tracks to blow your friends away. The rest of the album more than holds its head above water with its chilled funkylisiuos style but doesn't quite have the same oomph as the starting tracks hense the reason for my rating. However lifes a garden...............Dig it..........and then go buy a copy

I was introduced to Crazy P by a good friend - I guess I owe him one. The Wicked... is a refreshing piece of funk/ house etc and a welcome diversion from the countless paint by numbers house compilations on the market. The opening track is a gem, with a cleverly used sample from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.
The album deviates nicely between funky, upbeat house and downtempo jazzy electronica. It's a good one for Summer evenings.
