Nice pop soul but not the definitive 'Very Best Of'
Released on the Brunswick label from Chicago, the Chi Lites were another group of soul brothers who made it in the early 70s after a long wait!
They were popular all over the world & esp. in the UK were several of their records charted more than once!
Their early hits were ballards & mid tempo stuff, known to most people of a certain age, such as:
Have You Seen Her, Homely Girl, Oh Girl & Stoned Out Of My Mind
Simple love songs, charming even today. And really well sung.
But they also released 'message' songs like (For God's Sake) Give More Power To The People & the snappily titled "There Will Never Be Any Peace (Until God Is Seated At The Conference Table)"
Nice album but quite a few of their hits are missing (like "Too Good To Be Forgotten")
