Fixed problems I had with my dying Cd Player
I had loads of problems with my Technics Cd Player.
It had been getting daily use for many years and was showing bad signs of wear and tear. It would take ages to skip to a track at the end of a cd and many tracks played on it sounded very distorted.
So I got the Scotch Laser Lens Cleaner as a last resort to try and fix it.
I selected track 3 and let the cleaner go to work on my cd player, it took about 1min for it to finish I guess my lens must of been very dirty.
To my delight after using the laser lens cleaner once on my cd player it has fixed all the problems I was getting with it.
Very pleased with the product as it has saved me from buying a new cd player.
Does what it says on the tin!
I can only the echo the comments of A Cowper - I bought this product after reading their review, thanks :-)
It all started when I thought there was something seriously wrong with my CD player - the vocals on tracks I played were barely audible, and there wasn't much 'top end' to the sound. I was getting better quality from my old record deck!
Then it occurred to me it may need a little clean...
I'm not sure how this Scotch Laser Lens cleaner disc works, but basically after insertion into the player a man talks for 2 minutes (while some little sticky-out tuft things go round and round inside cleaning it), and that's it!
But the results are amazing - it's like I've got a new CD player. I'm not sure how, but it definitely works and I'm 100% satisfied with the results.
Stunning!
Am I glad I read those other reviews! It may be a reflection on my own state of audio-expertise that it took just a bit more than one use of the Scotch cleaner to get results -- but nonetheless, like the others before me -- this miracle product has preserved my old cd player -- also a beloved Technics -- and saved me the cost of replacing it. In my own case the improvement was more gradual with each cleaning (there's been a lot of decorating in this house, by some who were less than canny with the use of dust-sheets) and I may have put the cleaner through about 15 times -- that's about one clean for every year I've owned it. Thank heavens for the silent track.
But now at long, long last Romeo can serenade his lovely Juliet (it's an opera) without hiccupping in the middle. And I will be following the advice on the cleaner box to put the cleaner through after every ten hours of playing!
