Funk doesn't get any better
If you thought Kool & The Gang started their career with Ladies Night, this will be a revelation to you. There are usually four acts named when funk musicians talk about their biggest influences; James Brown, Sly Stone, George Clinton and Kool & The Gang. This CD contains some of their best recordings, going back almost to when they started in 1969.
Buy this and when it's got you hooked, buy all the other early recordings too. I love them so much I've got over 25 albums.
not quite perfect
sure does contain some rare gems.. but really I recomend going for a double cd if you don't want to be dissapointed that you don't have all the songs you remember.
The real Kool and the Gang
Most people know Kool and the Gang as a soul group who had a string of hits in the eighties but in the 70"s they were one of the funkiest groups around.This is them at their funky best.Buy this album and prepare to get down.You wont be able to get enough of this funky stuff
