Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction brings together all the elements of the TV show--players can design and build their own robots, drawing upon a database of body parts, armour, engines, wheels and weapons. Once complete, battle can commence. The game also features a quick-start pick-up-and-play function, so gamers can select from a range of pre-built robots and get straight to the realistic 3-D action in new and improved arenas including desert outpost, sub-zero station, iron foundry and acid factory. There are 10 different game types, including robot football and sumo competitions. The RefBot oversees the destruction, while the most popular of the US robots and a range of new competitor robots join the fray. With the use of a link cable, GBA Roboteers can fight one another across the variety of 3-D landscapes; with secret component stores unlocked by successful play, Extreme Destruction includes the ability to trade rare weapons and useful robot body parts with other players, the ultimate goal being to find all the parts to the mythical Gold Robot.

Customer Reviews
It's 3D!
When I bought Robot Wars Extreme Destruction, I thought it was going to be like the first one. In that, the only way you could win was with a flipper. But this game was much different. It had amazing graphics! Some of the robots from Robot Wars were recreated perfectly. Within minutes I had got my moneys worth.
Amazing though it was, it was easy, until I replayed Championship on Gold. Instead of being against all star robots, you are against the house robots. It's the same with every game on Gold. The hardest thing is the Gauntlet challenge (Drop Zone) on Gold. You have to have your speed just right, so it is best to use a wedge with very little speed, but good at turning quickly, and avoiding.
I would have got my moneys worth if I had bought it for £200! It was one of my favourite games out of the 15 I have so far, even though I have only had my Gameboy for nearly two years. It is well worth any sum of money if you are a Robot Wars fan. If you aren't, you won't really like this game.
Overall it provides hours of fun gaming. It's a bit on the easy side, but still worth every penny.
