dont buy this garb, like all solo stuff from waters since he left floyd and all stuff from gilmour going solo to its crap, the to both seperated are kidding them selfs, GET BACK TOGHETHERPLZZZZZZZZZZZZ, thats the only ways BACK, WAKE UUUUUUUUUUP PLZZ GUYS....

The true soul that kept Pink Floyd going emerges in his soloist carreer5
When Waters left the Pink Floyd, as a long time fan of the band, I thought it was the end of an era.
This album, like the following albums of Roger Waters, made me feel that rather than the end it was the beginning of an era, especially of a chain of records made from a true artist, such as Waters and his real, genuine expression still capable to penetrate heart and soul of the listerers who keep their ears clean.
Both as a Waters fan and as a musician, I can tell that this album is technically stunning, emotionally deep and really amazing and I suggest to get (like I did) the following albums as well.
Let's not forget that Roger Waters is not only a truly good bassist, a passionate singer and songwriter, an uncorruptible artist but also a monstruous composer (check Ca Ira).
So yes, 5 stars from me, definitely!

Good but not great3
The problem with the Pros And Cons Of Hitch-Hiking are simple. It's not very good. Which is exactly what Pink Floyd said to him in 1978 when he presented them with it as an idea for their next album. A listen to the demos for the songs saw the rest of the Floyd diplomatically suggest that The Wall, Roger's other idea at the time, was more interesting.

A listen to Pros And Cons, makes it hard to believe that is a collection of different songs. Songs, most of which are in the same key and speed, drift in and out of each other, hovering in the same musical holding pattern like one long coda, (as one reviewer described it), and exhibit very little in the way of memorable moments. There's a line about a dog with a waggly tail which is quite good, two songs towards the end of side two that I can remember, ("Every Strangers Eyes" and "The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking"), and a passage during "Dunroamin Dunlivin Duncarin" that sounds oddly like "In The Flesh", but that's about it : After all, the whole album is the soundtrack to an imaginary dream, and when you awake from the record, when it finishes, like a dream, you have forgotten most of it.

In many respects then, Pros And Cons is just as much, if not more, of an attempt to imitate Pink Floyd than A Momentary Lapse Of Reason.
