Santa's not the only bearded fat man who brings the goods...
There's an interview with Keith Fullerton Whitman in the brilliant documentay Notes On Breakcore where he talks about how he's just at home playing raves in squats as he is at performing side-by-sdie with avant-garde composes in theatre halls and this record acutely showcases such skizophrenic tendencies. The range of tracks diverges from the raggacore anthem Vatstep DSP; an exlectroacoustic cover of the Rolling Stones' Paint It Black, the achingly beautiful minimalist composition Gemini and an instrumental rock 'n' roll version ot a traditional Eastern European folk song, Tegenborg.
