Amazon.co.uk Review
The Mediterranean clubber’s paradise is the location for ex-EastEnders star Patsy Palmer’s latest fitness offering, the Ibiza Workout. More Pontins in tone than Ibiza, Palmer and choreographer Louie Spence deliver an hilarious, fun and very accessible workout. The stunning sunny scenery as a backdrop is a clever reminder that this is all about getting into that bikini for that package holiday in the sun.
The combination of Palmer’s winning down-to-earth charm, and Spence’s super-camp humour is a winner. Not only is there a great rapport and banter between the two, but there is also a constant connection with the viewer. The 50-minute workout is based on dance moves laced with fitness know-how. It won’t work miracles for the terribly overweight and flabby, but it’ll beat those winter couch potato habits.
A fun warm-up starts slow enough to get the hang of the moves, and goes onto the faster paced "Villa Vascular" section, followed by a toning stretch out, two dance routines, and a relaxing cool down stretch to end. The routines might seem confusing at times, but don’t be put off, as the variety and the flash touches are part of the motivation to keep watching and doing this. Palmer and Spence are well aware that the purpose of this is to get the viewer body-confident. The dance moves along the way are an added bonus to take on holiday.--Lorna V

Not her best video
I am quite a fan of Patsy Palmer's workout videos. They always seem to give you a good workout, with a lot of fun involved. They are never too serious. This video is not her best though. She has not chosen the best instructor; he talks rather too much, demonstating on his own for a large part of the time, while Patsy stands there watching. In between each section they act out panto like conversations, which is quite infuriating, when you're just trying to get your workout done. The 2 dance sections have good moves, and once they get going, do get your heart rate up, and are very enjoyable. I found they took to long to explain the routines, and do them slowly, you don't always feel as if you get going. There is some toning and a good stretch at the end. It's not a bad video, just not her best, with a bit too much unnecessary chatter in between. She should have stuck to the instructor on her first video, who has been the best of the lot.
Great DVD
I was quite surprised when I read other reviews on this. I found it a great fitness DVD. I did this while on the weight watchers diet and I lost a couple lbs a week. And not only that my legs and hips are more toned.
The only bad thing I have to say is that it doesnt do much for the top half of the body!
Patsy and Louis tend to irritate a bit though, after a while I did the workout with the telly on mute! But it helped me get fitter, so I am not complaining too much...
Patsy Pants Workout
After standing in the video shop for 20 mins trying to decide which fitness vid to buy, I chose the Ibiza Workout with Patsy Palmer. It looked like fun and looked to be exactly what I was after. However, I had made a big mistake. This video was awful!
Whilst Patsy presented well and both her and her dance expert Louie Spence looked great, the dancing was uninspiring, boring and too repetitive. The back of the video claimed to use top dance tracks but I (a seasoned club go-er)found the music was really dull and irritating. The camera work was also really unhelpful as it rarely focused on the right places long enough for the viewer to catch movement demonstrations.
The best things about this vid were the unpatronising presentation and the many changes of pants both patsy and Louie make...hilarious. PANTS is probably the best word for this video!
