Gym Ball - an exercise you'll want to do!5
I suffered a serious back injury earlier this year and using a gym ball was suggested by my physio. I live in the middle of the countryside and there were no classes nearby so I bought this DVD (I also didn't want the embarrasment of falling off the ball in front of a class full of people!) This workout combines all the things I want from an exercise, firstly it is enjoyable so I want to keep doing it, it tailors the exercise from beginner to advanced so I can progress and get plenty of use out of it and is also very relaxing and de-stressing.
I have been doing this workout 3-4 times a week for the last month and have really noticed a difference to my shape but more importantly the core stability I have gained has really made a difference to my back. The workout it about 45 minutes long but is so enjoyable that the time whizzes by and unlike most other fitness videos the presenter does not chatter on incessantly.
Great for anybody who fancies a different workout and is fantastic for strenghening your back and stomach muscles if these are particularly weak the only minor downside is that you do need quite a bit of room to do the workout.

Fantastic results and good fun5
Hi

I must start by saying that I have never written a review on Amazon before but this DVD is so good, I wanted to share my views with you.

This DVD is really good fun. The warm up is actually quite tough but gets those muscles ready for the work out.

The toning part is very well explained and is easy to follow. You can start off with the easier versions and work your way up to advanced moves.

It really is fun, but relaxing at the same time.

I have already seen some good results from this DVD and you really do get a total body workout (no muscle is left unused!!).

Highly recommended.

If it's fun you do it5
My husband bought a gym ball following a back rehabilitation course at a local hospital. They recommended gentle bouncing and swaying on it for helping to build up the back muscles. I enjoyed playing with it too but felt rather limited in what I could do, which was why I ordered this DVD.

Well, I love it. There is so much you can do with a gym ball that you really don't need any other piece of fitness equipment.

The presenter isn't too hyped up, you don't feel like you want to slip her a Valium. She has a lady with her doing the easier versions of some of the exercises.

The first few days I just stuck with the warm-up, it was all I could manage. After that though I progressed surprisingly quickly and now do the full workout - and feel great after it. And, note, I am recovering from M.E., where you can't exercise as it causes intense muscle pain. I find the exercise on the gym ball is gentle though and doesn't cause the pain I get from walking or other exercises if I don't overdo it (e.g. I can't exercise at all on bad days, you have to know your limits).

There is one very simple exercise where you hold the gym ball above your head, twist it slightly to the side and then bring your arms down with the ball. Easy but boy do your arms feel it for a few days afterwards! That's what I really like about this DVD. It is easy and yet fun to do and the results are very noticeable.

Highly recommended.
