Amazon.co.uk Review
Serving as both a greatest hits collection and a summary of stuff she'd been working on before her August 2001 death, I Care 4 U is a keen reminder of just how talented the 22-year-old Aaliyah was as a singer and song stylist. Sure, it's easy to have rhythm aplenty when R Kelly and Timbaland are guiding you, but Aaliyah's silken phrasings are her own, and her ability to unearth tenderness in even the most funky jam is a testament to her vision of R&B as musical comfort food. Songs from her three studio albums are well represented. Among them are "I Care 4 U" and "More than a Woman" from Aaliyah, the title track and "Got to Give it Up" from One in a Million; and "Back and Forth" and "At Your Best" from Age Ain't Nothing but a Number. Of course, the universally praiseworthy brand new tracks--"Come Over", "All I Need", "Miss You" and "Don't Worry" are the real goods. --Kim Hughes

Forever Princess of R&B
I care 4u works in two parts, a semi complete greatest hits package from Aaliyahs excellent but tragically short career. And in second part, 6 cuts of previousely unreleased material recorded between her 2nd and 3rd albums.
To start with the Greatest hits. Most of the best ones are present and correct. Try Again, One in a Million, We Need a Resoultion, More than a Women and Rock the Boat are all here and serve as a reminder that the talented Aaliyah recorded some of the best and most innovative R&B ever. Also included is two cuts from her first album. Back n Forth is excellent, real old skool that first broke Aaliyah back in 1993 plus at your best.
The new tracks are mostly good. Current single Miss U demonstrates Aaliyahs soft but beautiful voice. Come over and All I need are also very pleasing. But the real treat is as always the Timbaland produced, Static written Dont know what to tell ya! Why this wasnt on the Aaliyah album is a mystery, but its all good as its on here. I hope this is to be released as a single as it is amazing! Dirty base, wkd beats and Aaliyahs angelic voice over the top. This typically demonstrates why she is so truely missed and such a void has been left in contemporary R&B.
Overall definately recommend this album - pure class. Only minor complaint is maybe a few more classics could have been included on the disc - maybe hot like fire, journey to the past, if your girl only knew and age aint nothing but a number. Also a biography may have been nice in the booklet.
But in conclusion an excellent cd and the bonus DVD is the icing on the cake. Excellent purchase from a beautiful artist who is truely truely missed. RIP aaliyah.
Gone But Not Forgotten
Once again we see another stunning, shiny, perfectly written album from Aaliyah. This album is not only her greatest hits it has new material and is a tribute in itself to Aaliyah who tragically died at 21 in a plane crash last year on her way home from filming her video for Rock The Boat which was taken from her self entitled album Aaliyah. Aaliyah also produced her album Aaliyah which showed that she was more than just a singer which also included tracks such as I Care 4 U, More Than A Woman and Try Again (also taken from the motion picture Romeo Must Die where she played the part of Trish O'Day). It also includes hits from her previous album Age Is More Than Just A Number such as Back And Forth as well as, One In A Million and Got To Give It Up from her album One In A Million. This album also gives us some brilliant unreleased tracks such as Miss You and Come Over. This Album is Aaliyah at her best doing what she loved the most and working alongside some of the industries best songwriters, producers and singers who she will have a lasting impression on. This album is perfectly put together and a must have for any R & B fan or Aaliyah fan, it is definitely one for the collection and to finish Aaliyah you may be gone but you are not forgotten.
Smooth silky R n'B
This album is a retrospective of Aaliyah's work mixing her biggest hits with 6 previously unreleased songs. Most of the songs still sound quite fresh, the obvious highlights being the understated 'At Your Best', the Timbaland-produced gem 'Are You That somebody' and the exquisite 'Rock The Boat'. Aaliyah also brings the house down on 'More Than a Woman' and 'I Care For U'. The album tracks show how much Aaliyah matured musically in the past few years transforming herself from R. Kelly's little female protege to one of the classiest divas on the contemporary R n'B scene. The previously unreleased stuff is not as good as her big hits but 'Miss You' and 'Don't Worry' shine. In summary, the CD is well worth the price and you won't regret buying it.
