Amazon.co.uk Review
With the voice of Justine Timberlake and Prince's dirty mind, Har Mar Superstar is a self-styled R&B sex god and You Can Feel Me is his electro-funk invitation to worship. Unfortunately, he looks like a medallion-wearing Boogie Nights reject cavorting in sweaty Y-fronts. Nevertheless, the second album from the Minneapolis freaky dancer, born Harold Martin Tillman, is hard to resist; its wicked sense of humour and pornographic p-funk make it the most entertaining thing to happen to R&B in a long time.
Using little more than a drum machine and an overactive libido, Tillman summons up rude disco and DIY cyber-struts that put "Elephant Walk" and "H.A.R.M.A.R" up there with Outkast's skewed sci-fi best. "We Could Be Heavy" has him demonstrating his lip-licking seduction to the dirtiest of grooves but for R&B thrills nothing beats the inter-office flirtation of "Power Lunch". To a grinding space-invaders click track that even The Neptunes would be jealous of, he trades come-ons like "Your name is sex in my rolodex" and "I'm appetised by your thighs" with an equally excited female colleague, peaking with the refrain "Deeper, deeper, I can feel you beeper". Crazy, sexy and--in a sleazy 70s porn star way--very, very cool. --Dan Gennoe
CD Description
Having penned tracks for Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Osbourne,Minneapolis based singer/songwriter Sean Tillman, releases his second album under his Har Mar Superstar moniker. Blending smooth R&B with his tongue in cheek lyrics, Tillman parodies the 'sexy R&B' sound that is portrayed by artists such as Christina Aguilera. The album also features the single 'Power Lunch'.

Buy it!
The first time one sees Har Mar Superstar saunter onstage, the Ron Jeremy similarities become strikingly clear. Both are chubby, balding, and unlikely celebrities. But both are also very skilled at what they do....no one but silky-voiced Har Mar has both men and women eating out of his hands while wearing nothing but a tight pair of dark briefs.
While it's tempting to write Har Mar off as a clever novelty, it's also erroneous. The beats are real, and his pipes are spectacular! Try not to dance as he contemplates making out with "the sweet little girl next door" on "We Could Be Heavy." His voice swoops and soars like a lothario in heat. While many lyrics on the album are drop-dead bizarre and funny -- like rhyming "chorizo" and "Mother Theresa" -- the performer's emotional earnestness often takes the material to another level.
The Gossip's Beth Ditto lends her soulful gospel wail to the sexy, minimalistic "Power Lunch," a song that sounds like it could have been on Prince's "Dirty Mind" album. "Elephant Walk," a funky electroclash collaboration with The Faint is both funny and infectious. Other roof-raisers include the piano-based party anthem "EZ Pass," "Freedom Summer," and "No Chorus," an R. Kelly-like sing-rap that tells a quick tale involving pot, traffic violations, a sexy lady cop, and masturbation.
Buy the album and see why notable bands like The Strokes, The Faint, Tenacious D, The Hives, and Incubus have taken Har Mar on the road with them.
After appearing in numerous national magazines and serving as Ms. Kelly Osbourne's date to MTV's 2002 Video Music Awards, Har Mar's star keeps rising, and I'm already eagerly looking forward to his next offering!
One part Stevie Wonder and one part Andy Kaufman, Har Mar Superstar is an American original.
Har Mar rocks
I lurveee this cd. Very funky. Had to buy it after seeing him in concert. Very witty and funky. Great performer and great on cd. I never get bored of it. Har Mar you Rock!
Awesome
This is an under rated album. Har Mar Superstar is a great singer he has a silky smooth sound comes across on all the songs on this album. The album is only 30 minutes long but it will be the best 30 minutes of music you will here. Har Mar has a great range of sounds, Soul, Dance, Elecktro Dance, Jazz, and R & B. Buy this album and you will not be disapointed.
