Great Game, Great Price
I already have Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, which is great ... This game, Need For Speed: Road Challenge is basically an upgrade of NFS III. It is definitely better. The graphics aren't that great, about the same as NFS III. The lights are still useless as well. You race in total darkness, put the lights on, and they make no difference at all. However, for the low price of the game you can't complain. Well worth the money. You get some new tracks, some new cars, and the ability to upgrade your car and so on. Your car gets damage when you hit various objects. This makes it far more realistic and a bit more fun as well. It works fine under Windows XP. I also have NASCAR 2003. This has superior graphics, cost three times as much, but is boring. You can't beat Lamborghini cars, police chases and so on. More interesting than racing on a boring track. I would recommend this game.
Windows XP and 2000 Compatible ?!?!?! try NO
I bought this game originally back when Windows 98 was THE operating system to have, and I loved this game to bits, don't get me wrong the game it'self is top notch, but it doesn't work on XP. I'd been searching round for a patch for this game ever since I got XP about a year and a half ago, I then saw this re-release that said it would work on XP, I jumped for joy. but after getting the game delivered this morning I'm once more left dissappointed. THIS GAME DOESN'T WANT TO RUN ON XP, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!
