A great game for fans of this genre
The graphics and sound are brilliant in this game with the film music bringing it to life. The first time you play the game you spend more time watching your dinosaurs than anything else. Gameplay is relatively easy but interesting and involved, with diseases, the odd storm and escaping dinosaurs to add spice. Other factors such as the balloon and land rover rides add even more interest. There is incentive to replay the game as you can't get all species in one game due to a limit on dig sites. You are able to select sites based on which species are likely to be found there though so you will be able to get that T-Rex!
A great game!
A "Theme Park" with a difference
Operation Genesis is the Jurassic Park game that should have
appeared years ago, considering the popularity of Theme Park-
esque games. There's little in the world of gaming that can
compare to breeding your very own herd of Triceratops before
dropping your first 40-foot long Tyrannosaurus slap bang in the
middle of their pen.
Of course, breeding the animals isn't even half the battle. You
gotta keep everything running smoothly, ensure the guests are
happy to get the money rolling in. And in the tradition of these
simulation games, there's always a few geological disasters
chucked into the mix in order to make your life increasingly
difficult. Tornados, heat waves and violent storms all crop up
every so often, causing your dinosaurs, your guests and indeed
yourself a great deal of stress. The icing on the prehistoric
(thus well past its' sell-by-date) cake is the fact that the
game looks and sounds excellent.
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is an astounding experience.
The wealth of dinosaurs, extra missions and seemingly endless of
hours of gameplay make this a worthwhile purchase. If you're
into this kind of thing, this game is definately a must.
Welcome, to Jurassic Park
It really is! This game is top dog, (or should that be Dino) featuring all the faves inc Rex and the raptors.
With the orginal soundtrack and pinpoint graghics this game lets you build and create your very own Jurassic Park. Start with fences and an entrace and maybe one or two dinos and work u're way up toa 5 star busling park filled with punters and Prehistoric attractions. This really is a fun game with few flaws.
If u loved the film then u'll love this featuring characters from the first film (although the voices are more comical than real) guiding u step by step to build the perfect Jurassic park. Watch out though, if the star attractions become restless then their there could be trouble as they break out and eat the guests. It's not just the dinos that are the problem, tropical storms and twisters can tear u're buildings and fences apart.
One of the major down falls is that u have to choose what dinos u want in u're park from a limeted amout of dig sites and once u have unlocked 5 the others become locked until u start a new park. This means it is very dificult to get a Rex, Spino and Raptor in the same park...shame, but means u can play it again :)
There is also the option to compleate missions and even view your park from the customers point of view all in all emersing u in the Jurassic park exsperiance.
All in all and amazing game and one certainly to add to the collection, hope u all enjoy it as much as I did.
