Manufacturer's Description
In Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell your name is Sam Fisher and you are the best field-operative of the secretive black-ops NSA sub-agency Third Echelon. Sent to execute desperate missions, you're the last resort of your government, on the edge of legality and morality. Alone, yet armed with some of the best hi-tech weapons on the market, you are geared up to infiltrate and neutralise every enemy--all without leaving a trace. Discreet as a whisper, deadly as a blade, you are authorized to operate with carte blanche. You exist above the law, and your name, your face and your mission are something that nobody must suspect.

sam fisher is up to more stealthy tricks4
the handheld versioin of splinter cell follows the same story line, which involves fishers investigation into the activitys of russian leader, presidant Nikoladze, after the dissapearance of two undercover agents.
The game starts off basic, with no soldiers to worry about and appears to be a lazy 2D platformer. But delve a little deeper and the stealth elements emerge. If guards see you, they will either attack or run off to trigger the alarms. fail to deactivate them within about 10 seconds and your mission is over.
You can get past guards in a number of ways: hide in dark corners until they pass; use a Smoke Grenade and sneak by; knock them out;or go all-out aggresive and pop a cap on their head. You can use night vision and infared goggles,to - just like in the GameCube game.
And by connecting this up to the home-console version of splinter cell you can download 5 extra levels to the GBA on top of the 11 already in the game. Splinter cell is a great-looking,highly playable game and most of all, a worthy handheld version of it`s little brother.
