IT'S THAT GOOD!5
A snapshot of 1968 era Beatles/Badfinger piano based song writing (a good thing),
with more of a nod to the song styling of McCartney than Lennon.
It's amazing that these songs came from the pen of a then 17 year old Tom Hartman. These songs can stand toe to toe with anything Badfinger did at the same time. It's a crime that it took 35 years for this release to come out, it would be an even bigger crime had it never come out at all.

There seems to be no end to the well of 1960's era Surf/Garage/Merseybeat recordings that keep being "found" every year. What sets this release apart is the caliber of the song writing and the fact that it was done at Abbey Road Studios.

Very Highly Recommended!

Resurrected At Last!4
There has been a whole lot of hype surrounding this perviuosly unreleased (vinyl bootleg not withstanding)album. What one must keep in mind when listening to these gems is two things:
1. The band wa 17-18 when the tracks were recorded
2. The album was not really recorded as an "album," but was quickly assembled from recordings made during their brief stay in London in 1969.

The album was never released, due to the fact that the band split when they left London.

Now what we have is a long, lost gem that has many high points, not withstanding the CLASSIC "World Of You." The tarcks have been remastered from the original master rceordings and bonus cuts were added. The critics will belabour the Fab Four influences, but that only adds charm to the whole affair. This, my friend, is going to be one of the top re-releases of 2003, so I would grab it like a rabbit and run to your CD player now!

Isn't it amazing how things turn out?

A bored browse through a music magazine led me to this newly rediscovered gem. The story of the recording of the album makes it worth the purchase price alone, but wait til you hear the music!

With a stunning blend of mid-sixties influences, primarily the Beatles obviously, the Aerovons produced a record that is simply a joy to hear. The fact that the band's leader was only 18 at the time is unbelieveable, given the assured production and the sort of melodies that you think you've known since always.

I'm not easily swayed, but I've told everyone I know to buy this CD - you won't regret it!

Resurrection? Bring on the Second Coming!
