WE BOTH ARE SO PROUD OF GINO VANNELLI !!!!!!!!!
CANTO is really, really, really a super MASTERPIECE !!!!!!!
Amazing........... We have seen and heard GINO VANNELLI so many times now and HE still knows how to get us touched and moved in our hearts and very deep in our hearts with his GREATNESS in music and voice but also with HIS kindness and sweetness !!!
The sound of this CANTO cd is incredible in our car and we only have a simple stereo cd-player but at home the sound is even more breathtaking. BIG and DEEP goose-bumps !!!!
MALA LUNA should be played by all orchestra's on this planet !!
Wow !!! This complete work of art is the fullest magnificence !!
We hope this is a good English / American word.
Our REVIEWS get boring because we do not know enough English words to express ourselves but we try to write what we feel while listening to GINO VANNELLI 'S MUSIC !!
We hope our neighbours are happy with the new songs, because we have to play it loud very loud to feel the right emotions !!

Gino's voice and music goes through our bones and veins like some kind of addictive drug
(we think) because we could not stop listening and we are so thankful and grateful that we can enjoy music and especially GINO VANNELLI'S MUSIC !!! With this CANTO CD it is really hard to stop the tears and the deep emotions and we both are NOT ashamed for these feelings and thank God we both have the same feelings and we can always talk about Gino Vannelli and Gino's life's work... We read the poetic lyrics out loud and talk about the meaning and the way we both understand these poetic words.
And we have discussions how some lyrics fit into our own lives and how we feel about these topics.
And have some arguments !!! Ha ha !!! Yesssssswe do !!! Because Gino Vannelli's lyrics make you think deep, very deep!
The words awaken our minds and brains...... While the Music and Voice of GINO VANNELLI flow inside our hearts......

Trees thinks WAYWARD LOVER IS A SUPER TOP MUSICAL and LYRICAL WORK OF ART but after a minute she says DEA SPERANZA and than again CANTO, IL VIAGGIO or MALA LUNA it is impossible to choose a favorite song because with each song there are different feelings and emotions.
Barend loves CANTO, THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER, PAROLE PER MIO PADRE and WAYWARD LOVER with the celtic flute, amazing sound this celtic flute! We really cannot choose favorites, all 11 songs (and we still think song is a too small word for this high level quality music!) are SUPERB MASTERPIECES.

The voice of the Lady Janet Chvatal gets to us too, my oh my she can break glass with this crystal clear voice, really breathtaking.
On the CANTO cd Gino's voice is super top and when we heard Gino sing live in Copenhagen we were in total shock by His voice and we mean in a very good positive way!
During some moments His voice took our breath clean away and it still does when we listen to the CANTO songs.
ohhhh about Gino Vannelli's voice : it does not matter how high or how low or how Gino sings we can ALWAYS hear the words very clearly !!!

The music really gets to us... we listen and deeply enjoy the CANTO cd. A MUST FOR A MUSIC LOVER !!!

GINO VANNELLI IS THE BEST that's all we can say!!! And we both really, really mean this!!
BUY GINO VANNELLI'S CANTO, it's a piece of art in your music collection!!!

Gino at his emotive best
Although I am a confirmed fan of the Brother to Brother/Nightwalker period where a more progressive approach was favoured by Gino,I must say that this departure into the realms of classical overtones reminiscent of Pauper in Paradise really,I mean really hit the spot for me.He has once again shown he is indeed a master of his craft.I would go so far as to say that, in my humble opinion, he has never sung better or written such beautiful emotive pieces, that carry and support his voice and his impressive vocal range .Full of sweeping lucious strings and lavish orchestrations there has definately been no skimping on the budget thank god and it shows.It sounds huge!. I feel Daniele Bonaviri(who?)deserves a mention for a stunning performance on the acoustic guitar, on Mala Luna.All in all I find "Canto" completely bewitching and enchanting, a "must buy" for fans or for anybody who appreciates the dying art of "the singer"

still amazing...but
any gino fan knows he can still more than cut it with the vocals,
however this crossover into the realms of a lyrical tenor doesn't do it for me...more's the pity as i am a huge & loyal fan that unfortunately yearns for the old days of storm at sunup and bro 2 bro...even slow love for that matter...hoping it will eventually grow on me, however that awful sop. voice will always be there...bad choice of duetists !
