A Legend At His Best.
I really love Luthers older music but this final album really blown me away, all the tracks are fantastically written and performed by Luther, u know your in for a great album when u see the name Luther Vandross, it's very easy to get lost in another world while listening to this album. Theres a couple of tracks that stand out on this album 1 is (Buy Me A Rose) which is just brilliant Luthers soulful voice really does shine through on this song, and of course the 2nd stand out track is (Dance With My Father) now this for me is one of the best songs ever written, Luther co wrote this track with Richard Marx, and as a result of the writting talent this song was produced and what a song it is, Great vocals once again by Luther and very touching lyrics to match. It's such a shame that a legend was lost but what he has left us is just amazing and we thank you Luther for what u have left us.

5 Stars just isn't enough !
It's quite fitting that this was Luther's final album as it covers the full range of a true legends vocal ability. To deliver tracks like 'Hit it again' with Queen Latifah, 'Lovely Day' with Busta Rhymes and then Closer I get to you with Beyonce and the incomparable Dance with my Father shows that in 1 album you have the full spectrum of an artist who never got the accolades he truly deserved. You will love this album and if you haven't already got them it will inspire you to get his full back catalogue. Don't just buy his greatest hits because that doesn't reflect what a fantastic voice Luther had. This album is a good place to start. Enjoy.

Great contribution / great voice.
There are many vocalists around today. There are few who can truly cover the full range of emotions either vocally, or with written compositions. Luther was a man who could do both. He was gifted with the power of voice and the written word, and used the both to great effect. After reading many Amazon customer reviews I was drawn to a tribute to this man on the Michael valentine Studio site. A fitting tribute to a genius. Many albums to view and search for. I will be hunting the net for many albums I had not seen before as it is clear Luther was a busy technician as well as a vocal genius.

I don't regard Dance With My Father to be his best, but Luther did not make a bad album so whatever you purchase from the Luther collection, you will have a slice of Luther's emotions as was felt at the time. It's all-good!
