Don't Run, Sinead!
This can comfortably shut up anyone prejudiced about reality-tv created stars. 'Ready To Run' is the long-awaited and underrated debut from Sinead Quinn, series one Fame Academy runner-up. The first track "What You Need Is..." is a satisfying yet somewhat weak opener, best heard at full volume. "Never Happy" follows, and, bar a catchy middle, really is the weakest this album has to give. Standout tracks on this album are the title track, which is a powerfull ballad, as is the next one, I Can't Break Down, cruelly pipped to the No.1 spot in February 2003. From thereon, it's all good stuff, especially the closing three tracks and "Fire Me Up". The last three tracks all provide something new and original,and show the talent of Sinead and not Sinead plus producers, despite the studio noises you can hear at the end of Safe Hands. Fire Me Up and Love Me All The Way are both head-scratchingly good and catchy whilst "Lucky Escape" is so powerful it could reduce you to tears.

If you can find anywhere to buy it, buy it. Give her sales, for God's sake.

Listen Without Prejudice
Runner-up on a Reality TV show, so this must be rubbish, right? Wrong, actually. Sinead Quinn has given us a very accomplished debut album, stuffed to the gills with strong melodies, genuinely emotional ballads, and lots of the attitude she revealed during last year's Fame Academy.
Sinead has had a hand in writing all the songs, a fact beyond dispute when you hear some of the lyrics. They are, to coin a phrase, Pure Sinead! Standout tracks are Fire Me Up, Small Town Big Dreams and Overkill.
She is obviously going to have a difficult time getting her music noticed when she's vying for the same market as Avril, Amy, Pink, Christina, Mel C etc etc, but this album more than holds its own when compared to her rivals, and those who check it out won't be disappointed.
A great debut showing real potential. Let's hope she's given a chance to show us where she'll go from here.

Inspiration and Adoration
This has got to be the best £[*] I have ever spent. Every single track is fantastic and there is never a moment of regret when listening to it. The music varies in styles and there is sometimes a hint of Alanis Morrisette in Sinaed's magnificent voice. On my CD, I don't know about anybody else's but I have 'Never Happy' as my track 2 an I have to say it is by far the best track. It is inspirational and can really help teenage girls to see that there is no need to be stick thin to enjoy life. There is not a dull moment and knowing that Sinaed dedicates it to her brother just adds to your thoughts that she truly is an inspirational and admirable women. You can not play the CD too many times and I listen to it whilst writing thius review and do not take back a single word written. Just because not everyon knows about it, this does not mean that it isn't an ssential part of anybody's CD collection.
