Editorial Reviews

CD Description
Fresh off a 2002 GRAMMY nod for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Jagged Edge once again brings plenty of harmonies and attitude on its fourth outing, HARD. Working with a coterie of producers that include So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri, the men of JE continue down a path that's equal parts thug and lover. Making like Boyz II Men with swagger, these Atlanta natives easily shift gears from silk-sheet-and-champagne slow jams like "Walked Outta Heaven", "Visions", and the acoustic-guitar kissed "I Don't Wanna", to more up tempo fare, including the call-and-response "Girls Gone Wild" (featuring Major Damage) and the thumping "Tryna Be Your Man". As if all this singing about wooing the ladies wasn't enough, Jagged Edge take it up a notch with a pair of bonus cuts--"Car Show", (featuring a cameo by fellow Georgian and Outkast rapper BigBoi) and a remix of "They Ain't JE" that finds Street Katz and Woonie rapping in their two cents. Providing a musical bed for any type of romantic liaison, Jagged Edge prove the only thing HARD they bring to the table are the looks they'resporting on this collection's cover.

Good album4
JE are back in effect with their latest album 'Hard'. For all JE fans, no introductions are necessary...for those of you who are not...where have you been?

There are a number of outstanding tracks on this album including the fantastic 'Walked Outta Heaven', 'Girls Gone Wild', 'Visions' and 'Tryin'A be Your Man'. But aside from the stand-out songs on this CD, the remaining tracks are very easy to listen to as well. This is of true of 'They Ain't JE', 'I Don't Wanna', 'Shady Girl', 'Car Show' featuring Big Boi of Outkast, and the 'They Ain't JE' Remix with Street Katz and Woonie. This is a vast list of good songs, and this makes for a fantastic album!

JE is putting it down5
What can I say about this album? Nothing. One sentence could never describe the vocal arrangements, the production and the collaborations. Jagged Edge has surely done it again. As a consumer of all 4 albums(now) this album is an added plus to the collection.
Songs for every occasion. In the past J.E have had a reputation of providing for those who prefer slow jams. This time around they have succesfully delivered the goods for all their listeners. To be perfectly honest, this album should increase the number of listeners they already have. This is due to the fact that the album is stored with everything from a slow jam (e.g: walked out of heaven, I don't wanna), to an up-tempo track (they ain't J.E), hitting every subject.(to name a few)
J.E was correct in naming this album Hard. This is how it hits you. This album was worth the wait. J.E I SALUTE U

OH MY GOSH5
ive never been a huge jagged edge fan. In fact ive found SOME of their previous albums kinda dragging and tedious (although dont get it twisted i luv off my slow jams) But this.. it exceeds most rnb albums.

Walked right outa heaven - big hit at the mo, playing loads on the urban scene, and am i right, us ladys love it. And quite right, its a very "nice" song.. full of meaning and heartbreak, think we all can related!

Visions is 1 of my fav's, still a slow jam, but abit more hard.. "im havin visions of this gurl and its like 6 inda morning..."

Some party athems the "he aint je" (both versions) are more upbeat, "u might not see it cuz ov the way he disguises, he might be cool, but he aint me.. he just aint JE" cocky lyrics yes. But does it work? hell it does.

All together a FINEE album, that will be in my cd player for a long wile to come! deserves bare recongision and respect!
