Try and stop those feet moving!!!
A superb collection of salsoul hits. If you're a fan of the salsoul sound and don't own the original albums or 12"s then this is a must and serves as a good introduction to the artists.

I personally prefer this to the Mastercuts Vol.1, despite Vol.1 including 2 of my favourite tracks of all time: Loleatta Holloway - "Dreamin" and Salsoul Orchestra - "Runaway". Highlights here are the incredible, frequently-sampled, "Dr Love" by First Choice, the monster cover of the Motown anthem, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Inner Life and the uplifting stomper of a disco track, "Helplessly" by Moment of Truth. But saying that, there isn't one poor track on the collection.

The salsoul sound will appeal to all soul, disco, and soulful house lovers. Even on first listening, you cannot fail to hear the impact that the label has had on influencing the sounds of US Garage and true house music. For all you train-spotters there are an abundance of riffs, hooks and lines that have been sampled during the last 10 years of dance music. Give it a try... you really won't be disappointed! And try and stop those feet from moving... dance music at its finest!
