Run with the Devil
I'm sorry to say this but I'm glad Coal Chamber are no more. This album if infinitely better than any Coal Chamber offering (although Dark Days was class). The most crunching guitars and evil vocals I've heard for a while make this album one for those who like their music dark, punishing and fast. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
Groovy and Heavy as hell
I first heard devil driver on the Freddy vs. Jason Soundtrack with the spooky skull cracking goodness of 'swinging the dead' and straight off I was hooked. I was never really a big fan of Coal Chamber but more in that 'I have no real opinion' category so I welcomed this offering from their former lead vocalist without any previous bias. It's got this kind of jumpy groove that's heavy as hell but still hugely listenable and bouncy. This isn't black metal for those looking for some Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem or Nokturnal Mortum style madness, so don't go expecting to shock your parents or impress your mindless little buddies with how 'dark' and ' evil' this is - it's just heavy growling metal with some of the most enjoyable lyrics and grooves the genre has had to offer for a long old time!
This is good..
This is a great album, a great metal album.The groove is unbeatable, its upbeat and in your face.
But to the guy who goes on about BM i say, wise up.This is not BM or is it Grindcore and it is most certainly not NU-Metal or pop, this is GROOVE metal at its best.
To any body who does not like it or claims they dont like it because its "POP" i would suggest a good long look in the mirror, while i laugh in yer stupid selfelevated face.Hahahahahahaha...
Its a great album and it has a little something for all metal heads, thats ofcoarse if you not a snob like our friend previous....
I say buy it,,get it home and turn it up...!!!
