DVD Description
"Here it is … my new dance workout. It’s great fun and it really does work. Since giving birth to my son Bobby, I’ve managed to drop two dress sizes. We all want to keep fit and look good but it’s hard to stick to a boring regime. That’s why I asked Pauline Minott to come up with a fun and effective workout that I can do anywhere. Paulette is one of the country’s top choreographers and has worked with Victoria Beckham, Mis-teeq and many more. This programme has three sections: a warm-up, the dance routines and a cool-down. The dance routines are the fun bit. I’ll take you through the moves step by step. Just enjoy yourself and remember – if I can do it, so can you!" – Jade Goody.

This is the worst exercise dvd ever!!
Have to say i paid £2.99 for this jades workout thought id got myself a proper bargain until i got it home that is! Now i quite like Jade and have watched and laughed alongside and at her in the reality progs shes been in. However this dvd is appalling, it is set in a warehouse full of well..rubbish! Jade should not have been the presenter as well as the star as she is so bad at telling you wot you have to do. the backing dancers look embarrassed to be there with jade telling them to "smile boys" every other sentence. She waffles thru without explaining clearly and the dance routines are not choreographed well to the music so you end up out of sync v.easily. All i can say is DO NOT BUY, it is a waste of money and will put you off buying exercise vids for life!!!
Everything has a Place
Before you buy this DVD ask yourself "What am I looking for?" If the answer is a flat out killer routine or a dance class, get a different product. This work out provides a warm up, five dance routines and a cool down. Jade works her way through the lot with four mostly-fit guys and that for me is the clever bit. If you get to the point where you're bored with Jade's just-beyond-workout dancing you can try the routines as they are being done by each of the guys, giving you a very different workout because a couple of those guys can mash it out a bit!
This workout is do-able and does not require a Village Hall size space to do it in. Yes, I agree that Jade's "single-single, double-double" instructions get on my nerves a bit, but her attempts to keep everyone smiling & mimic the music and the giggles that she punctuates the workouts with keep everything light.
I'd recommend this workout for young girls wanting to start a fitness routine, people wanting to get back into a regular fitness routine or someone looking for some relatively light cardio stuff to do on off-days. As I said before, if you're looking for killer workouts you might want to think again.
Having said that, between mastering the routines and then mastering the guys' interpretation this could be the last workout DVD I buy for a while. And it *is* fun! Honest.
Beats Bodylicious
This is a much better product that I'd been expecting: a good low-impact dancy aerobic routine that certainly can work up a nice sweat, especially if - as another reviewer suggested - you try to follow the guys rather than Jade. That said, I don't mind that Jade isn't the world's best dancer as the different abilities demonstrated mean this really is suitable for all fitness levels. I like Jade a lot, but I do concede that her comments and calling could probably get seriously annoying; I'm lucky in that I have a huge collection of exercise programmes (my ex-smoking money bought them!) so I don't have to hear her every day - if this was your only fitness DVD you might end up throwing things at the telly. I am way too old to take these kinds of moves on to a dance floor (38) but I found them all easy enough to master and great fun in my living room. My one real criticism, and the reason it lost a star, is that Jade's cueing is far from great; to be fair, she's hardly a professional at this and doesn't pretend to be, but it is still irritating, especially the first time round. But it still beats the over-hyped Bodylicious into a cocked hat: more exercise, more moves, more time.
