Unforgiven 20033
Only the second ever RAW only pay-per-view, Unforgiven 2003 is a painfully average affair. While Bad Blood 2003 recieved much criticism because it wasn't anything special, and it was the first ever RAW only pay-per-view, expectations for Unforgiven were much lower. Even on a card where Goldberg and Triple H finally go one on one in a title match, Shawn Michaels takes on young upstart Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon challenges Kane in a hardcore match, the event doesn't achieve anything better than passable. Unforgiven 2003 set out to do one thing, and that was to advance storylines, not to give us spectacular matches. A lot of the matches on this card could have been better, and the ludicrous amount of stipulations riding on the matches made things rather complicated at times, for example;

First up was the World Tag Team Championship match, between the Dudleys and La Resistance (Sylvian Grenier and Rene Dupree) with Rob Conway. A handicap tables match. Spike isn't taking part in this match due to an injury suffered at the hands of La Resistance. Jerry the King Lawler actually raises a valid point during this contest; if La Resistance and Rob Conway win, who gets the titles? Grenier and Dupree? Dupree and Conway? Grenier and Conway? This issue is just skimmed over. Anyway, better performance from La Resistance than usual, pretty decent opener.

Next up was Test vs Scott Steiner. Again. Only with more stipulation overload; if Steiner wins, he retains Stacy Kiebler's 'services', if Test wins, he apparently owns Stacy Kiebler and Scott Steiner. These two guys had a fair match at Bad Blood, and a decent match at Insurrextion, but this one was way below par.

Moving on, the next encounter was just a good old fashioned wrestling match. Shawn Michaels takes on Randy Orton. At this point, Orton was a rather inexperienced worker, and it shows in some places, especially at the climax, but none the less, a great contest.

The diva's tag team match was next, pitting Trish and a returning Lita against Molly Holly and Gail Kim. The women's division had an impressive few months prior to this, and this match was okay. A good performance from Lita, considering how long she was away with a neck injury.

Back to the stipulations. Next up is the Winners broadcast Raw match pitting the King and JR against Al Snow and the Coach. This match is just plain old silly. Although entertaining, the Coach can not wrestle, and in a real confrontation, JR would not get the better of Al Snow. Passable while Snow and Lawler are in the ring, this match is however, very difficult to take seriously.

Next came the Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship, Rob Van Dam vs Christian vs Chris Jericho. A decent match, this one had a couple of ambitious high spots, and a good few stiff shots as well. Good match.

In the next match, Shane McMahon doesn't sell very well, especially considering he's wrestling a monster like Kane in a hardcore rules Last Man Standing match. A passable contest this one, more stunts courtesy of Shane McMahon, a good storyline advancement.

And now for the main event, for the World Heavyweight Championship, it's the one we've all been waiting for, Triple H vs Goldberg. If that wasn't enough there's a stipulation here too, if Goldberg loses, he has to leave the WWE completely. Rather than work a normal Goldberg style match to get him more over, like when he ripped through the Elimination Chamber contestants in a matter of minutes at Summerslam, they go at it for quite a long time, with Goldberg selling a lot. An okay main event, but could have been marginally better, especially considering how badly these two wanted to get their hands on each other.

While only an average pay-per-view, Unforgiven 2003 is still worth seeing in my opinion, but only serves to advance storylines.

Not a Bad PPV4
World Tag Team Title Handicap Tables Match
The Dudley Boyz vs La Resistance (Sylvian Grenier and Renee Dupree) and Rob Conway 6/10
This was a decent tag team event that the crowd really enjoyed

Winner Gets The Services of Stacy Kiebler. If Steiner Loses, Test Gets Services of Steiner
Test vs Scott Steiner 4/10
Another match from these two awful wrestlers, the only thing good about this match the appearance of the gorgeous Stacy Kiebler

Legend vs Legend Killer Match
Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton 8/10
HBK is just great and Randy Orton is going to be great

Molly Holly and Gail Kim vs Trish Stratus and Lita 4/10
This was your typical women's tag match that you can see on a episode of Raw

Last Man Standing Match
Kane vs Shane McMahon 10/10
Match of the night and even though the wrong person won the ending was horrific

Intercontinental Title Triple Threat Match
Christian vs Chris Jericho vs Rob Van Dam 7/10
Some good action from these superstar as they put their skills to good use

Winners get to announce RAW
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler vs Jonathan Coachman and Al Snow 1/10
This was simply appalling and should have been scrapped altogether as a match and as a storyline

World Heavyweight Title Match
Triple H vs Goldberg 8/10
A good title match to end the match but it was nothing to spectacular

All in all Unforgiven was a good PPV but was not that memorable

Amazing5
Match 1 World Tag Team Titles Handicap Table Match
Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance & Rob Conway 8/10
Amazing opener and a good way for the Dudleyz to regain the titles.

Match 2 Scott Stenier vs. Test 6/10
If Scott won he gets Stacy if Test won he get's the service from Scott & Stacy. Better than their match at Bad Blood.

Match 3 Randy Orton vs. Shawn Micheals 9/10
Great old school wrestling match and had the right timing and had a good point on the card.

Match 4 Gail Kim & Molly Holly vs. Lita & Trish Stratus 6/10
A better match than i thought and a great return by Lita.

Match 5 Winners Broadcast RAW:J.R & "The King" vs. Coach & Al Snow 4/10
No comentaters and even Al Snow who is an actual wrestler absoulutley sucked at wrestling it was Y2J who ended this awful match. Thank God.

Match 6 Trople Threat IC title match: Y2J vs. RVD vs. Christian(c) 8/10

A good match with great moves from RVD & Y2J. So of course Christian won.

Match 7 Last Man Standing Match:Shane Mcmahon vs. Kane 9/10
Ever since Kane took oof his mask he's been in great matches and been better a kicking ass like he use to. An amazing hardcore match with a great ending.

Match 8 World Heavyweight title match:Triple H(c) vs. Goldberg 9/10
I thought this would be the last part of the Triple H/Goldberg saga because the match was so good and had quite a long and well fitted video package at 4 minutes, plus Goldberg wins. But after i thought no because Triple H is so stuberned and won't stop until he's the World Heavyweight champ. I use to like him back in the year 2002 but now he has Evolution involved in almost every match witch makes them predictable.

The only problem on this DVD is that their is no extras, well i mean almost none. Their is a hiden easter egg (click right and down twice at the main page)Its not actually that good it's only a 3 minute video of clips leading up to the matches. Basicly a longer version of the opening video package.
