'Tasty' is the third album from Kelis and after the abstract funk rock of her second release 'Wanderland' returns to the R&B sound that propelled her into the media spotlight. Produced by the Neptunes, P. Diddy and Timbaland to name a few the album is a mix of futuristic R&B, hip hop and soul. 'Tasty' features guest appearances from the likes of Nas, Outkast's Andre 3000 and Raphael Saadig.

Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
Kelis's debut album was a phenomenal success, but the muted interest in the follow-up has been followed by low expectations for her third album, Tasty. "Caught Out There", from Kaleidoscope, had her storming the airwaves with a chant of "I hate you so much right now!" and she returns with "Milkshake", a schoolyard taunt for grown-up girls. The minimalist Neptunes production was an obvious first single but the CD hardly stops there. From collaborations with Andre 3000 ("Millionaire", a showcase for the OutKast frontman's falsetto) and Nas (the randy "In Public") and a rap-rock exercise ("Keep It Down") to irresistible updates of early 1980s R&B ("Protect My Heart", "Glow"), the disc offers plenty in the way of potential follow-ups. While less playful than some of her past work, Tasty brings a raised eyebrow and good humour to the 21st century sex-u-up template. --Rickey Wright
Customer Reviews
It's okay, just too inconsistent
Kelis' tasty actually has a lot of good songs in the album. However, it also has a lot of bad songs in the album. Out of it's 14 songs, about half were good and half were bad.Her song arrangement helps keep the flow in the album, and I think it was creative of her to put an intro.Songs like: Trick Me, Milkshake, millionaire,In Public, and Rollin through the hood are good. However, you lose interest in the album(at times) and you basically have to force yourself to keep listening. It's inconsistent, but worth listening to for her most catchy and creative songs from her album.
Refreshing and different
Tasty is the third album released by kelis, but still has funky beats and a refreshing sound. Guest appearences by Andre3000 and Nas are just a few of the successful artists on this album. I could barely take the cd out of my car, cool rnb and catchy tunes throught the album.
Strongly reccomend this to any rnb fan
KELIS, YOU ARE AN ACE GIRL!!!
Kelis, what can I say, you are FANTASTIC! I loved this CD from when I first got it. The album is sexy, fabulous and a beautiful new urban artist (Well, not NEW necessarily). Move over Jamelia, roll on Kuh-leese! 'Intro' is funny, a strange beginning to Tasty. 'Trick Me' is a fun song, GREAT 4 dancing 2 and a funky tune; though I don't like the remark with 'dick' in it. 'Milkshake', we all know, a classic urban tune we can all relate to. I LOVE it!!! 'Keep it Down' is one of my favourites, a mixture between urban and rock with a hard drum whack at the beginning of the song. 'In Public', one of the singles released on 4th April this year, is another GREAT song. 'Let's get it on in public'. LOVED IT!!! Roll on Kelis! 'Flashback' is a weak song, a boring tune that I don't much care for. 'Protect My Heart' makes up for it! Love it!! 'Millionaire' was another single, a song that I quite like. The video is strange but cool. 'Glow' is OK, hmmm? Don't particularly like it. 'S.H.I.T' is alright, a bit weird but GOOD! 'Attention' is a song I don't really remember. It's OK, but a bit weak. 'Rolling thru the Hood' is cool, I LOVE her vocals on this one!!! 'Stick Up' is a song I LOVVVVVVVVVEEEE! FABULOUS, KELIS ROGERS!!! 'Marathon' is OK but not a gr8 end to the CD. BUY IT!!!!!! YOU'LL LUV IT!
