Synopsis
Teenager Daphne Reynolds (Amanda Bynes) dreams of one day dancing with her father at her wedding. Her dream is complicated by the fact that she has never met her dad, Lord Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth), a British politician to whom her mother, singer Libby (Kelly Preston), was married seventeen years before. Unfortunately, Henry's aristocratic family did not approve of bohemian Libby and drove her away. Determined to find her father, who has no idea that she exists, Daphne leaves her New York City home and runs off to London, where, much to the dismay of Henry's conniving fiancee (Anna Chancellor) and her jealous daughter (Christina Cole), she soon becomes a part of daily life at Dashwood Manor. Can a free-spirited American teenager survive in proper British high society

i thought this movie was really good, a bit unrealistic though as her father wouldnt have been in the u.s peace corps as he was english. it is defintly worth a watch.
For a Perfect Sleepover Night !
I got this movie from London from my dad from HMV, and I countn't wait to see it and I watched it that very night and it was AMAZING! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT NOW. Basicly it's about this girl (Amanda Bynes) who went looking for her dad (Colin Firth)in London and he is a top Parliment worker and he also owns a very big expensive mansion with his new engaged wife and her daughter. They are haveing a great time together until his ferince ruins everything. She has a whicked time going to Dress shows, Balls and Garden parties.I LOVED IT, YOU WILL TOO.
THE PERFECT TEENAGE FLICK CHICK FOR YOU AND YOUR GIRLFRIENDS TO WATCH GIGGLE AND LAUGH!
The Battle Of The Cliches
This silly movie is full of the most ignorant cliches about England gathered in one film--even Americans who've never been there know better. But I can't feel too broken up about that, as I've seen too many British-produced movies and television programs with just as silly and tired cliches about the United States(one memorable one was the American characters and depictions of California in the cozily smug television program "As Time Goes By".). But even besides that, the movie is excrutiatingly sappy and the "cute" quotient makes my teeth hurt. Not to mention its message of "be true to yourself" is about as deep as a finger bowl. And if I see one more film expounding the idea that "a little child(or know-it-all teen) shall lead them", I'm going to go find some babies to pinch.
