Customer Reviews
Thank you Nick Hornby
Nick Hornby's 31 Songs mentions this album. Many of the other people I listen to refernece Steve Earle, so I bought it and listened and loved it. Why not 5 stars? Nobody is perfect but this is a thumping good album and a great introduction for me to Steve Earle - I will be buying more!
this album needed making
This is a seriously good album from Steve Earle. From his days of hanging out with the Pogues, who provided an amazing backing on " Jonny come lately" on Copperhead Rd, he has needed to articulate his love of Irish music. Galway Girl is probably the best and most sympathetic Irish song written by an american. Why Magners cider decided to use some watered down version is beyond me unless they wanted to reflect their product.
transcendal blues
Album okay. Wouldn't rave about it. Only a few songs I would listen to.
