minolta g600 dimage review
An excellent compact very powerful camera. Small in size with big boy features. This camera is cheaper than alot of equivilants and they dont have the pixel power of this, easy to use, not the usual millions of fiddly buttons, very simple to use menu system, the only minor glitch i can fine is the pics can be a slight bit dark in low light areas where flash is used it being a small compact camera, this is more due to me being used to a large flash gun on an SLR camera i think though. Great camera great price, robust with its metal body. Great looking, any faults really would be nit picking.

Simple to use, quality pics!
Easy to setup and use, I purchased this with a Bytestor 512MB SD card which works perfectly fine and is super quick, both when using it with the camera and downloading the pics onto my PC. Can fit about 300+ pics onto the camera with this card at a fantastic resolution. Camera feels solid and is a nice small size too. It's also a mainly metal body too which gives it a more quality feel. Package comes with rechargable battery and recharger too and the battery life is pretty decent, I managed well over 150 shots before needing to recharge and that was with a modest amount of flash use and reviewing/downloading of pics. Overall a great camera and a good price for a 6MP camera. Can't fault the Amazon service either, everything I have ordered from them over the last 5-6 years has arrived ontime, well packaged and with no problems.

Minolta Dimage - Excellent value for money
Had to resort to buying my own christmas present this year, still, I was not disappointed with this camera. I rather like having 6MP stamped across the front of it, just so I can show off to everyone else who has 5.1 and below...and yet it is as cheap as a 5 mega pixel camera!
You will find 5MP cameras that are a little more sleek and lightweight making them more portable...but the features packed into this camera more than make up for it.
-It records video...not great quality and only in thirty second clips, but it was an unexpected feature.
-The camera is a plug and play device, so if you have windows xp, it will just show up as a hard drive and you can drag the pictures and avi video files onto your desktop or wherever.
-This is a perfect beginner camera, with plenty of extra features that allow you to grow and develop your skills as a photographer.
-A decent sized LCD screen
-Excellent battery life
-Menu system on camera is quite simple to use after a little practice.
-A lightning fast startup
-Solid build quality.
-Easy setup
-No huge instruction manual only a startup manual - the in depth one is in pdf format...which i don't mind.
Note: With the camera you only get 16MB SD card...this will not hold many pictures, especially if you increase the quality settings. Buy a cheap 256MB SD card, which will compliment the battery life a little better.
All in all, though...a fantastic camera and worthy of five stars. If, like me, you are part of the iPOD generation...then I'd say you are more suited to something a little more slim and stylish, not to take anything away from the G600, but there are more stylish cameras on the market without a doubt. Features and price make this camera hard to beat though.
