absolutely beautiful
beautiful voice that stopped me in my tracks both live and on cd. this album has everything- jolly numbers, mellow contemplations, quirky and soulful lyrics. for want of a better word it sounds genuine. favourite tracks 'one day' and 'over the hill'. if you like singer-songwriters, guitars and pianos (and the odd drum) then buy this and please see her live.

A Must Buy Album
Got hold of a copy of her new album at a gig in york where she supported jamie cullum. polly was fantastic live and her first album is excellent. Intelligent lyrics, great vocals and superb harmonies. For those of you who haven't seen her live do, she's well worth it. A British Norah Jones? Possibly. A seriously impressive debut. Well worth buying.

Bought this CD after seeing Polly play Live in a tiny venue in the roof of a barn in a field. Had only bought tickets as the support act that night was a friend of a friend - so glad I did. She has a beautiful voice, a unique sound and creative, poetic lyrics to make your heart sing. Buy this album immediately, and go far out of your way to see her live!
