Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Twista's warp-speed raps may have got him into the Guinness Book of World Records, but Kamikaze confirms that there's more to him than just outpacing the competition. He can out-boast them too. Straight out of the blocks he's taunting his peers, waving his bank balance, record sales and gangsta credentials in their faces, challenging them to come and have a go if they think they're fast enough. Though hardly abnormal rap behaviour, for once, having an ego bigger than America isn't without reason. "Get Me" and "Pimp On" may be stock gangsta frontin', but their respective bleak drama and cruising slouch would make Jay-Z nod along approvingly. But it's when he turns his hyperactive couplets to having fun that really scores. Relaxing to a G-funk strut, "Drink" has him cheekily working through the cocktail menu, recalling various ladies that the exotic concoctions (Sex on the Beach, Slow Screw) remind him of. Meanwhile, running through a list of smooth soul artists who will improve his pulling power, single "Slow Jamz" rolls out a satiny groove and a sly sense of humour: "I'm gonna play this Vandross, you gonna take your pants off." For sure there's a lot of uninspired droning about cash and guns, but when he finds his imagination, Twista makes being a pimpmobile-driving rap star sound like a lot of fun. --Dan Gennoe

I won't go into detail about every song on this album. I was never a big Twista fan, I just wanted to see if his hype was worthy. Sadly apart from the songs he has released in the charts dating up to Hope, nothing else really stands out except maybe the Crunk filled song 'Like A 24'
For something lite and easy to listen to, something like 'College Dropout' by Kanye West is good. Twista to me can't hold tracks by himself and relys on others. This is generic rap album that doesn't really do anything for hip hop

The fastest rapper in the world returns with his 4th album and it is by far the best. There are a lot of fantastic songs on this album.

There are some real gems on this album, songs like Slow Jams, Overnight Celebrity and the fantastically upbeat, Sunshine. Some great soulful beats provided mainly by Kanye West, fantasticly quick raps on songs like still feels so good and some fantastic cameo appearances by Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, R Kelly, Jazze Pha and Freeway.

Not the greatest rap album ever but still a must-own for any true hip-hop fan.

Lyrical genius with a real heart as well as a gangsta front!5
Twista's unique and amazing rapping style comes out in full force on this album. While singles Slow Jamz and Overnight Celebrity focus on the usual rap theme of fine lookin' hunnies, absolute gem of a track Hope speaks out about his passion for justice and a desire to see right in the world.
If you want a CD packed full of rockin' beats to make your body bounce, real moods to put your mind to work and a set of lyrics to make your head spin, this is a must-have item.
Buy this album now, and never once regret it. Twista is THE rapper of the 21st-century and is not to be underrated.
