Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
When a game is delayed as long as Juiced it rarely bodes well for the end product. The delay seems especially unfortunate in this case it’s meant the game has been beaten to the starting line by similar titles such as Need for Speed: Underground 2 and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.

Juiced is, like the other games mentioned, a street racer and has the same obsession with customising your car with both performance mods and after-market cosmetic alterations (all of which are based on real products). 7.5 trillion combinations are apparently possible, although you’ll have to trust THQ’s maths on that as its doubtful they’ve counted them personally.

What is truly unique about Juiced though is your ability to recruit and organise a team of your own racers. Special crew races are possible and you can control your team members in-race, in a similar manner to the B-spec mode in Gran Turismo 4. The show-off trick challenges are also a neat addition and a welcome alternative to the standard races.

Although it has some interesting features there are still some notable problems with Juiced, particularly in terms of the handling which is disappointingly simplistic and an uncomfortable halfway house between the likes of Gran Turismo and Ridge Racer. The artificial intelligence of rival drivers is also weak and outside of the more exotic game modes the game treads very similar ground to its rivals. As long as you’re not expecting anything too original though this is still a very competent racer. -- Harrison Dent

Manufacturer's Description
Juiced is the only racing simulation that totally immerses you in the lifestyle and culture of the real street modding scene.

Starting as a new kid on the block, with not even a set of wheels to your name, your aim is to build up your own crew of 'driving gods' and dominate the established street racing scene of Angel City.

By showing off your modding and driving skills, you'll gain 'Respect' from the rival crew chiefs, and will soon be invited to their race events, challenge them to race 'for pinks' and bet against them for cash. As your notoriety grows, new drivers will ask to join your crew, opening up the never before seen 'crew races' where your skills at managing your drivers while you race are key to beating your rival crews.

It's going to be good5
Juiced is a game similiar to games such as Need for Speed Underground, andthe soon to be game The Fast and the Furious. Juiced therefore allows youto spice up your car, with all the usual, but this time fully liscensedparts for your car's performance and looks. However the main difference isthat you get to have you own "CREW". These guys can be rubbish, oramazing, depending on how much "respect" you have. Therefore, in this way,you can win the race just with you team mates. The great thing is though,is that you can also order them around during the race; telling them tobarge other people, or to hang back etc. Any fan of racing games shouldbuy this.

Sounds boring and plain. But it's really good fun!4
Juiced is a very simple, enjoyable and is a game you can constantly pick up and play.
The idea is similar to Need For Speed. However the experience is different.
The best thing to do on Juiced is to do a career. But the one problem is that all the other options are not much fun. But a career will last you a looonnnngg time.
You basically buy cars. (You get some very cheap ones at the beginning, like Beetle's and Honda CR-X's, and later on you can purchase Viper GTS' and Mustang's etc.
You them mod them and race them. You make bets with 7 other crew leaders to take a shot at gaining lots of money during races, but all in all. This is all very simple and sounds a bit plain and ordinary. But Juiced is packed full of fun!

Juiced.... Very frustrating1
I like so many other people bought juiced because I like NFSU2 however after the first time I played It I was so disappointed in It I just put it back in the and left it there for 2 or 3 month. I took me a real effort to get into this game and even then it was not really enjoyable. I don't know about the guy above but I couldn’t make any money on this game as soon as I got any money I lost a car and had to buy a new one or had to pay for race entries. The auto save thing is really annoying to. It saves your game before and after every race so If you make a mistake you cant go back which I guess makes It more realistic but who cares Its a game and this feature makes the game play really bad. Anyway to sum It up this game Is really poor so I wouldn’t buy It.......
