Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Christina Milian's second album, It's About Time, is a slick, sassy package that will either propel her into the major league of R&B pop temptresses or resign her to the growing glut of wannabes. As with her debut, it contains one song--the lead single--that stands head and shoulders above the others. Then it was the ubiquitous "AM to PM", here it's "Dip It Low" (featuring the rising hip-hop meteorite Fabolous)--Milian's own "Crazy In Love". With it's superlative production and a hookline to snare anyone passing within 500 feet of a radio playing it, it's little wonder that the other material doesn't live up to its quality.

The first problem is the sheer number of ballads (most of which--"Someday One Day", "Miss You Like Crazy" and so on--Milian had a hand in penning herself). The result is a little wet: you "miss your man"--so call him. You "don't wanna sing another sad song"--so (please) don't. The second concerns the majority of the other cuts, which use the well worn formula of silky smooth female vocal versus course, male rapping. It works, but we've seen it before. --Ben Johncock

Its about time........Damn right!!5
I've been a fan of Christina since I heard "Between you and me" with Ja Rule,I brought her self titled first album "Christina Milian", and over played it so much, that I stopped listening to it!

Christina's First release of her brand new album "Dip it Low", is an engergetic and fun track. After hearing it, I thought that I should buy it because of these reasons:
1. It is £8.99!!
2. Ive been a fan of Christina since the beginning
3. I like "Dip it Low"

After receiving my "Its about time" albuum, I can say that I LOVEEEEEEEEE this album, more than her first!
Not only is she much older(now 22)than when she did her first album (aged 19), her music has grown, she's not using Ja (Hehe!) and also shes a blonde!
The tracks on this album, is OFF DA HOOK!!!!!!!!

1.Intro- This is the first album I've come across that has song lyrics on the album sleeve!I'm feeling this! 10/10

2. Dip it Low .feat Faboulous- Well everyone should know this song, its sensual and sexy! 10/10

3.I need more- I loveeeeee this song, Nice beats and Christina sounds good on this track!Kinda sounds like shes shouting on the chrous bit, Sounds good though! 9/10

4. whatever u want .feat Joe Budden- This is going to be Christina's second single, Personally I dont like it much, other people might love it, the only bit I like of this song is Joe Budden's rap part!
You can make up your mind about this song when its released!
5/10

5.Someday Oneday-this track is soooooooooooooooooooo gud, i love it. Its a chill out song, but with edge of a melo beat! Christina sounds gud on this track also! 10/10 I especially like the chrous line

"Bout I Tell you someday I'm gonna find a guy that's gonna change my life, and I tell you one day just wait and see, true love is waiting out there for me!

6. HighWay - I'm not really feeling this track much, apart from the beat and rhythum (kinda sounds like Brandy's "Full Moon" Album). The lyrics, I'm sure is not about a Car, the car is just a metaphor For something else! Its a chill out track that you can enjoy. 6/10

7. Get Loose- Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn this song is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, probably was in a good mood when he produced this track!(makes a change!)
I love everything about this track, the beat, rhythum, lyrics, harmonies!
P.s Turn up your bass , when listening to this!! 10/10

8. I'm Sorry- She aint got nothing to be sorry bout, this track is Hot! Its another melo tune but with the beat booming! (Turn up your bass)And watch you furniture dance to the beat! 9/10

9. L.O.V.E .feat Joe budden( AGAIN!!)- Ok, this song they took it back to the 80s and didnt succeed! I'm not really feeling this at all, part from Joe Budden(HAHA). The harmonies are alright i suppose, thats all! 4/10

10.Peanut Butter&Jelly- Oh my days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favourite track out of the entire album! I first heard this song on the radio, and loved it! I'm dancing along to it as i'm writing this! Peanut butter & Jelly (Jelly is Jam in Uk terms), Is a very nice combination espercially with strawberry jelly and crunchy PB.
Christina defenitely has to release this track! 10/10

11. Miss you like Crazy- Ermm, I like this track, not the best song ever, but its alright! Sweet words, and sweet harmonies from christina. 6/10

12. Oh Daddy- Kind of a emotional track, I like it. It might have some references to her personal life, don't know!

Good slow song. 6/10

13. I can be that woman- everytime I listen to song, it just makes me laugh so much, the beginning starts of with this Polyphonic ringtone! Kinda good if i had it on my fone! This track takes it back tothe 80s again! I suppose its alright! 5/10

Bonus track

14.Hands on Me- This should have not been an bonus track, doesnt matter now, its still a good track! Good Beat and rhythum!

15. Dip it low Video- I dont really like this video, cause everytime i see her dip it low, i say 'OUCH, why you wanna break your back for'?

Ok, It might look like I'm loving off this abum, Which I think i am,haha. But I really think its good, and it wuld be a good purchase! I know a lot of people say " Buy it cause its gud" When really it isnt, I actually mean what I say!
Even if you dont decide to buy it, Shame on you!! Cause There are tracks on there for eveyone, so you wont be disappointed!

"Pop, Pop, Pop That Thing!"3
Christina Milian comes with a fair amount of hype, and the Jennifer Lopez comparisons are surely inevitable. Both women are of Latino descent (J.Lo's Puerto Rican, Milian's Cuban), and both have had prior stints on the big screen and on television. And, like Lopez, Milian releases trendy, guilty pleasure dance pop. And believe it or not, some of it works on her album, "It's About Time." The seductive kickoff track and single "Dip it Low" (with Fabolous) has a catchy chorus to die for and a groove only a killjoy would resist. It's easily the best and most memorable song on the album, followed by a selection of standard-fare ballads and radio-friendly dance/hip hop pop that recalls J.Lo and even Paula Abdul. The record is most effective when Milian brings down the tempo on slower jams like "Someday One Day" and the dreamy "Highway," though uptempo tracks like "L.O.V.E." aren't half-bad. As records of this sort go, "It's About Time" delivers some of the goods, but this is pretty shallow, derivative fluff. But it's decent enough to hold us over until radio's Next Big Thing comes along.
