Amazon.co.uk Review
Christina Milian's second album, It's About Time, is a slick, sassy package that will either propel her into the major league of R&B pop temptresses or resign her to the growing glut of wannabes. As with her debut, it contains one song--the lead single--that stands head and shoulders above the others. Then it was the ubiquitous "AM to PM", here it's "Dip It Low" (featuring the rising hip-hop meteorite Fabolous)--Milian's own "Crazy In Love". With it's superlative production and a hookline to snare anyone passing within 500 feet of a radio playing it, it's little wonder that the other material doesn't live up to its quality.
The first problem is the sheer number of ballads (most of which--"Someday One Day", "Miss You Like Crazy" and so on--Milian had a hand in penning herself). The result is a little wet: you "miss your man"--so call him. You "don't wanna sing another sad song"--so (please) don't. The second concerns the majority of the other cuts, which use the well worn formula of silky smooth female vocal versus course, male rapping. It works, but we've seen it before. --Ben Johncock

One Great Cd By Christina Milian
This is a pure classic cd and is a smooth mix of Pop and R&B, which when all of the different sounds come together makes a great cd. The intro, which you can't really call a song, tells you about Christina's busy lifestyle and it is a good introduction to the album. The first single Dip It Low , which features rapper Fabolous , is a song that has a brilliant influence of R&B mixed with Dance and it establishes Christina's genre of Pop/Dance/R&B, along with the great addition of Fabolous rapping. I Need More, the third track, with an electronic vibe, showcases Christina's Ability to pull off any genre, this time with Electro Pop. Whatever U Want, the second single from the album is Pure R&B, which is very catchy with its Urban vibe and it features Joe Budden.
The fifth track, Someday One Day , is a ballad, which I usually skip, as I don't really like ballads , but this song definately shows that Christina can sing. Highway, the sixth track, is another slow song, but it has a vibe which you just have to sing along to. The seventh track, I'm Sorry, is a cool , laid back R&B track with great lyrics. Get Loose, the eighth track, is definately a highlight from the album , with an urban style and clubby vibe, it has something for everyone. The Ninth Track, L.O.V.E , is a Mid-Tempo track, with a catchy chorus and unforgettable lyrics. Peanut Butter & Jelly, The Tenth Track, is a pure pop track , which has a chorus that jumps out at you and a great Urban vibe to the Pop song, which makes it sound different to different 'typical' Pop Songs. The Eleventh Track, Miss You Like Crazy, is another Mid-Tempo track, which has powerful lyrics and showcases her voice. Oh Daddy, is another ballad, which is my least favourite song on the album, which I usually skip. I Can Be That Woman, the thirteenth track, is definately the best track on the album, with great lyrics , a great chorus, along with a vibe of all different Genre's, It's hard to skip it and it definately should of been a normal track instead of being an International bonus track. I have the International version of the album , which unfortunately doesn't include the UK bonus track Hands On Me.
Overall Album Rating: 9.5/10 - I rate the album this due to the majority of the album being upbeat and lively, with a few ballads which aren't really my style, although it's good that she is experimenting with different sounds on It's About Time , instead of sticking to one sound.
Better Than Debut
Christina Milian is multi-talented she can sing/write/act and produce her 1st album self titled wasnt all that great not many songs on it really caught my attention but 2wards the end of '03 i heard "Dip It Low" it was such a transition from AM to PM working with Paul Poli who produced and wrote with the Black Eyed Peas as well as new comer Teerda Moses to make this masterpeice though it sounded a bit flat b4 the release of the video many people brushed it a side den the video was released it had a better and much more R&B soundin beat it was sure to b a massive hit (it reached #2)which convinced me to buy the album
1.Intro - A bit like X-tina A's stripped intro 10/10
2.Dip It Low (Featuring Fabolous) - The 1st single but the album version features New York rapper Fabolous(who is great)he gives the song a nice hip-hop flava great song it'll neva get old 10/10
3.I Need More - Sounds like it was supposed to be for Britney it really sounds like it belongs on "In The Zone" its not bad but its too poppy 7/10
4.Whatever U Want (Featuring Joe Budden) - The 2nd catchy single i honestly didnt like it when i 1st heard it didnt think it was a strong follow-up to "Dip It Low" but it reached #4 its very radio friendly and ridicuously catchy u end up lovin it 8/10
5.Someday Oneday - This song was also on the Japanese version of the album its a nice song but its not the strongest song her vocals are really sweet but its not great 7/10
6.Highway - One of the best songs its like the female version of R.Kelly's Ignition its very sexual but in a sutble way "Love it riding on ur highway" i love her vocals as well its beautiful 10/10
7.Get Loose - Darkchild produced club banga really love this song it just makes u wanna get up and dance they play this sumtimes wen i go out its infectious u cant help but tap ur foot 10/10
8.I'm Sorry - Another slow-tempo song it reminds me of something Mya would sing she sings about a man that likes her and she says no n he gets hearbroken very nice song 10/10
9.L.O.V.E. (Featuring Joe Budden) - Honestly Joe could have been left off the song coz Christina on her own makes this song great the 80's like beat its great could have been a single coz its hella catchy 10/10
10.Peanut Butter & Jelly - I really dont know why people go crazy for this its very average and very poppy not a favourite of mine 6/10
11.Miss You Like Crazy - I LOVE THIS SONG its so sweet and its very heart-felt its similar to Case' "Missing You" this could have been a single as well 10/10
12.Oh Daddy - Samples "Cause We've Ended As Lover's" from Stevie Wonder's protoge Syreeta this is a heart felt ballad about Christina's dad i think people who have been thru this will definatly relate 10/10
13.I Can Be That Woman - This is terrible it sounds like a ringtone 3/10
14.Hands On Me - Should have been on the tracklist and not just a bonus track its a sexy club banga really good 10/10
Bonus

Party Music!!!
I liked this album but there are only 5 or 6 tracks I ever listen to! But it has good dance music for parties and now her music is more urban rather than pop! Overall, on ok album if you have the money to spend on an album you may or may not like!!
