Skate-Tastic!5
This game has been by far the best game Tony Hawks has ever agreed to make. The graphics are excellent. They're practically Playstation 3 graphics if you ask me, i mean if you run into a wall his body doesn't just travel half way through it, he stops (you can also wall jump).

Secondly, the levels. They vary and are quite interesting. There are also random people there which you can swap transport with! It's great fun!

Thirdly, out of story mode. Out of story mode there is ALOT of good activities to get up to. For egxample you can go on create-a-modes. This is where you can create parks, your own player, graffiti tags etc. Creating a player is fun and very easy. It's personally my favourite activity on this game!

Finally. THe last thing i'd like to talk about is the classic mode. IT'S THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE AND PUTS YOU ON REAL TENSE PRESSURE! This is where you take part in classic events which occured in the older versions of Tony Hawks games. It's very entertaining.

Thank-you for reading this review and i hope it was helpful to you. All in all i give this game the following:

Graphics 8/10

Gameplay 10/10!

Other 9/10

Well worth getting!!!!!!!5
Ive got the first one and that was really good apart from the driving and repetative gameplay. THIS ONE IS MUCH BETTER!!!!!You can graffiti on the walls and do new tricks!!!Driving is MUCH better!!!i love to play as Weeman...he is so funny and you can drive a funny looking scooter. The story is really good and has alot of humour. The levels are alot bigger and the graphics are better. IF YOU LIKE SKATING GAMES, YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!!!BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE!!!!!!

Does it beat THUG1??5
Neversoft are back with another explosive outing in now the 6th Hawk game of the series, and yet somehow this one feels just as fresh as the ones that came before it.

I know, I know, it's not out yet I hear you cry, but I do actually own the game, lucky for me I was passing a well known UK game retailer just as they broke the release date.

First impressions I must be honest were not great, the intro really does nothing for the game, but the moment you jump onto that already familar deck, you feel right at home.

Unlike THUG1, you are already a reasonably well known skater who has been hand picked by Tony Hawk and Bam Margera to join them on the "World Destruction Tour", a balls out road trip round the world to cause as much havok and mayham as possible, and squeeze in some skating as well! Tony and Bam are taking their teams head to head and it's your job to make sure Tony's team comes out on top and this is done with the introduction of many new playable characters, ranging from a hoard of Pro skaters to a Spanish bull fighter!

The game has achieved a great difficulty balance for both experienced players of the series and players that have yet to grace the skating world of Mr Hawk.

One of the biggest changes is the reintroduction of the Clasic Hawk mode that pits you against 10 goals accross 16 levels with the familiar 2 minute time limit, however I must admit I prefer the new format.

For those that are familar to THUG there are a few new moves that can used, including Sticker slaps, spray painting your own custom "tag" around the game world and the new "Freak Out" that allows you to go crazy and smash your board to pieces after a fall. However the best feature is the new trick modifer, that allows you to add front flips, back flips, and barrel rolls to any grab trick with a quick double tap on the control pad.

On a graphical side the game looks on the surface just like THUG however the motion capture of the skaters has improved, further adding realism to the experience. Sound as always is an eclectic mix of R'n'B, Rap, Punk Rock and Metal with a few golden oldies such as Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire chucked in for good measure.

Gameplay as per usual with this series is fantastic and it is great to see that it hasn't been ruined somewhere along the line, not many games that have had 6 successful outings.

Finally the answer to the question in the title, it doesn't beat THUG1 it just gives gamers a continuation to the series, there are features that are better and there are equally ones that aren't as good. I miss the uphill struggle to try and go from local bum to a pro that THUG1 offered, but THUG2 to provides a much more Jackass comedy style that is equally enjoyable.

If you enjoyed THUG1 and Jackass then you will love this!

Well done Neversoft, roll on THUG3!
