Customer Reviews

Superb!5
It's such a shame that Survivor will forever be thought of as a one hit wonder band.
This was a soft rock band that has recorded some brilliant "should have been" hits and some superb albums over the years and continue to this day.
This compilation is out of this world and one in which you will find yourself playing again and again, it's one of the best CDs in my rock collection for sure.
The two biggiest hits are here, "Burning Heart" and of course "Eye Of The Tiger" as well as some truely maginficent songs that you'll enjoy for hours on end, "First Night", "Across The Miles", "Poor Man's Son", "Is This Love" to name just a few.
In all, this is a MUST HAVE album for all rock lovers!

An Excellent Introduction5
In a world of faceless pop wannabes and Rock which seems to concentrate purely on the negative, It's a breathe of fresh air to hear something as catchy and tuneful as it is powerful. Theres no one around like Survivor anymore, except perhaps the excellent Pride Of Lions, and Jim Peterik is involved in that anyway. This album will serve anyone interested as a great introduction to one of the best bands to be labelled AOR.

All of their albums are represented, with a roughly equal split between the early Dave Bickler material and the later Jimi Jamison era. Songs such as High On You, Is This Love and Desperate Dreams blasting out of the stereo make you feel like your cruising the american highways on a hot summer afternoon, it's pure feel good music. Caught in the Game, Didn't Know It Was Love and Poor Man's Son show their heavier side, while Eye Of The Tiger and Burning Heart need know introduction.

Survivor make you feel good, its that simple. Buy It!
