Product Description
The JE3 Antony Worrall Thompson juice extractor is the ideal tool for creating tasty, healthy drinks full of vitamins and packed with health benefits. This model features an extra wide feed chute equipped with a special food pusher so you can fit whole apples, carrots, tomatoes and peeled oranges into the machine. This makes juicing any combination of fruit and vegetables fast and hassle free.
Consistent juicing performance is guaranteed by the inclusion of a high performance motor base with an 850 watt induction motor that maintains optimum speeds even during heavy juicing. A three-position switch (two speeds and off) gives you superior control over the juice that you produce. The lowest speed is ideal for juicing soft fruits with a high water content such as watermelon, while the high speed is perfect for juicing hard fruit and vegetables.
Juice is collected in a 1 litre juice jug with an integrated handle for left or right handed use. A handy slide-in froth separator is included and helps to remove unwanted froth from your juice when pouring.
A special safety system is built into the juicer to ensure that you don't accidentally start juicing parts of yourself. A safety locking arm ensures that the JE3 juicer will not operate without the juicer cover in place and the locking arm in place in the vertical operating position.
The machine is easy to clean with major parts including the juicer cover, stainless steel mesh filter basket, filter bowl surround, juice jug and large pulp container being dishwasher safe. For convenience when you are not using the machine, the cord wraps around the machine's feet and clips into position under base for easy storage.

Customer Reviews
Noisy yes, but worth it!
I am new to juicing and do feel spoilt that I have benefitted from reviews which advised on the detriment of having to chop everything up into little bits, so that i could make an informed purchase and buy a machine with a large chute!
I have to say it makes it very quick in the mornings before going to work so that I always have time to prepare juices and the machine won't be relegated to the back of the utility room any time soon!
One of mine and my husbands favourites is apple, carrot and celery. You don't have to anything for this except wash your fruit and veg and top and tail the celery and carrots. These then all feed in whole. You don't even need to plung the celery, the machine sucks it in!
You still have to remove orange peel, which I do with a knife, so really is not great shakes and the orange juice is phenominal. I am urging all my friends and relatives to stop by for a drink (is this sad?)
I just tried beetroot this weekend and although you do have to exert pressure on the plunger, it ultimately does a great job.
OK, as I have said in the title, the 850Watt motor is as loud as a washing machine on full spin, but once you start getting the 'fruits' of your labours, it really doesn't bother me (just that my 2 year old daughter doesn't like it).
There is a low speed for softer items, which is obviously a bit less noisy.
With regards cleaning, all items except the plunger, are dishwasher safe. I do think it would be hard to get rid of ALL the sediment from the mesh filter without this, or without leaving to soak. But I love my machine and give it lots of TLC, mostly hand washing it, as this is pretty easy overall.
The waste hopper is certainly big enough and the juice jug hasn't overflowed yet on recipes for two (half litre glasses each). When assembled a lot of space is required overall, but then I am using it everyday so it deserves it's share of worktop.
At nearly £100 it is at the upper end of the lower market bracket and probably worth it if you are prepared to juice all sorts of things all the time.
Oh and it does look good.
friend for life
I wanted a juicer that did not grind to a halt when faced with vegetables as these make my favourite juices . I also wanted something that was straightforward to put together , did the job , did not leak , was easy to take apart and easy to clean .
Most importantly I wanted it to juice hard vegetables with ease and speed . There is no time in the morning for fiddling about .
This juicer gets full marks for all these .
Some have said it is noisy .It is less noisy than my vacuum cleaner and much less noisy than my washing machine . Also as it generally only takes about ten seconds to juice half a glass of vegetable juice for me I don't think that any noise is much of a problem .
The recipe book is sensible and gives a good starting guide as to which veg/fruit combines with which .
The design and colour are great and would blend in with most kitchens' decor .
It has revolutionised my eating habits because it produces high class juices very easily and quickly . A friend for life .
Bigger is better
The pros:
- The large feed chute. The most time-consuming elements of juicing are preparation and cleaning, and so this is considerably reduced.
- Easy to clean. Admittedly there is a fair bit to clean, but it's designed so that there are no tricky corners. They even provide a brush in case you don't have one.
- Efficient juicing. For the most part, the pulp is very dry and a good amount of juice is produced.
- Froth separator. So simple, yet so effective.
- It doesn't leak. You wouldn't expect it to, but prior to this I have a Kenwood JE356 and that made a terrible mess.
The cons:
- The large feed chute. The drawback of this is that the gap underneath the chute is too large. Consequently small fruit (grapes, cherries, pomegranate, passion-fruit etc) and anything that you may cut too small (a slither of mango perhaps) have a tendency to be spat into the pulp collector before they are properly juiced.
The pros clearly outweigh the cons, and it's comes at a good price too. If all you want to juice is large produce such as carrots, apples, pears and celery then you can't go wrong, but it drops a star for being wasteful on those expensive cherries.
