Excellent little product4
I really like this very simple little set top box, it does exactly as it says on the tin. I also like its nice compact size

Great box ideal for bedroom4
Having just bought a Digihome TV Recorder I thought I would put a word in for this little box that has served me well over the last three years.

I bought it because of the facility of being able to use it for Top Up TV but soon after I bought it E4 moved to freeview and left very little choice on Top Up TV.

You have to be careful not to inadvertently touch the 'stb' button on the remote as it stops all the other buttons having any effect.

The 'guide' is probably the worst I have ever seen, other members of my family had a similar Thomson box so I thought it would be the same guide but alas it was not. The guide just brings up a list of what is on that channel for the evening rather than showing what is on all the channels for that particular time slot.

One good thing about this box are the timers, there are 32 of them. The box will switch itself on (or zap to channel if already on) ensuring you don't miss your favourite show. If you are a soap fan you can set it to switch channels daily to each show one after the other without touching the remote.

It did freeze up a few times which could only be cured by switching off at the mains but this was rare and usally when I had inadvertently pressed the STB button.

Setup/Update is easy and you can sort all the channels into your ideal formation (something I cannot do with my new digihome recorder).

It is now set up in my bedroom and as good as the day it was bought. If you see one going cheap snap it up ideal for kids bedroom.

Very Tempermental1
Constantly gives problems, particularly when switching on and off to standby using the remote. Many times trhe remote seems to fail, even with brand new batteries, other times it will just start flicking through the channels for no reason. Also there is a bug in the TV guide which is constantly wrong (giving you TV programs for the wrong day). Best to avoid this unit
