Great album - when you can hear it
Few live albums are worth much more than a cursory listen, tending mostly to be contractual obligation fillers, or worst of all, the 'live Greatest Hits' album. This album is different; it's very hard to hear The Kinks above the audience screams. However, as a document of an era when The Kinks were genuine teen idols, it fits the bill wonderfully, and they do sound effectively raunchy and powerful. It's cheap enough, and certainly worth investing a few bob for.
