CD Description
'The Moment' sees Lisa Stansfield return to the pop world, backed by producer Trevor Horn. Featuring eleven tracks of pure pop, the album also includes a cover version of Prefab Sprout's 'When Love Breaks Down', which has an extra verse written by Paddy McAloon especially for Lisa Stansfield.
Customer Reviews
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS & AMAZING
I`ve counted the days: release of this album. And promised my brother everything for sending it to Germany. And it was worth it - every single day. The music, arrangement & the lyrics - TOP!Lisa is still "the right thing". Every track is so heart-warming-sung and special that it`s impossible to choose only one favourite. I love: "He touches me" `cause it reminds me of my boyfriend:-))
Simply The Best!
The combination of Lisa and Trevor Horn is sensational. I wouldn't have thought she could better anything she's done before but this is it. The quality of production with Lisa's voice is wonderful. Even for those who aren't fans would be converted listening to this album. However, I am amased that it hasn't been given more air-time here in the UK. I can't stop playing it. Look forward to seeing her perform it live.
Why did I wait so long?
I don't think I can add much to the other reviewers, except an apology to Lisa. You could say I grew up with her music but haven't listened to her for awhile. I knew this album was around but kept putting off buying it, wondering if I would still enjoy her music the way I once had. All I can say is I regret having waited so long. Her voice is as superb as always and this is a good collection of tracks that test her range. If you like Lisa, you're bound to like this. And track two, 'Treat me like a woman', is bound to put a smile on every woman's face.
