Ballroom dancing made fun and easy!5
I found this guide to dancing clear to understand and enjoyable to watch and copy. It blended sound technical points with charismatic personalities. I would recommend this, as a fun, sure way of learning correct style above others I have seen.

Ballroom Dancing with Angella Rippon5
This DVD starts with good sound advice for health and safety, warning that dancing is indeed an excellent exercise, and a warm up routine launches this DVD. Angela's excellent presentation style and infectious enthusiam, together with Dance Champion Ian Waite's expertise, takes us through the basic steps for the waltz; quickstep;cha cha cha;tango and jive. It's a good idea to play a little music to hear the rythm first of each dance, but my only criticism is that Angella talks excitedly over it so we can't actually benefit from this! The steps are clearly explained and repeated, slowly then with the music. I did find it difficult to translate words like "twiddly bits" to my French husband as I had had that the DVD would have sub titles in French

It's a pity3
My wife and I have recently started dancing lessons and thought we would like to supplement that with some dance instruction DVD's. This is the best of the 3 we purchased in that the presentation by Angela and Ian is very good. However, I am extrememly frustrated that it is not divided into chapters which mean you can't go straight to the dance you want. To see the jive for instance you have to play through the whole video as it's the last dance. I'm sure there must be a way with my dvd control but I haven't found it yet!
