Not as good!
Not a patch on the original! It`s just not the same without the `comic genius` of Charlie Drake! The same old thing without the humour! Long live the Baron!

A travesty below what I thought was possible.
This is probably the worst thing committed to DVD that I have ever had the significant misfortune to see. A resoundingly unfunny, pointless and puerile tirade, with all the professionalism and class of a fast food chef ejaculating in the mayonnaise. Sitting through 90 gruelling minutes was less enjoyable than a root canal. My copy is currently staked to the lawn in my back garden. Why? Because it wouldn't burn.

What was more disturbing was the people laughing at it. Lapping it up. The shrieks of laughter at someone saying 'the C Word' on stage were so depressing, so utterly banal that you found yourself praying for a natural disaster to carry the theatre away, with every guffawing simpleton in the cast and audience. To think that these people walk among us makes me feel dirty and miserable.

All the ills of the world rolled into a pantomime that isn't even so bad you can laugh at it. Just sad.
