When i first brought this game i thought it would be just another standard installment of nba live by EA, but i was to be proved wrong. This game has taken basketball games to another level, be it its 25 year long dynasty mode, or its highlight, the all-star weekend, which has the slam dunk contest, 3-point contest and all the matches. This is a game not only for ball lovers, but also for sport lovers, well done EA.

Bring Basketball To Your PC
There are just so many of these games that you really don't know if what you are buying is going to be good. So I went with EA sports who I have bought from for over 12 years, and I was not dissapointed with what I got.

The graphics are excellent, the AI is at a level where you really have to play good ball to win. I found that out of the 5 skill levels, level 3 was one where I won most, lost some, and the computer gave me a really good game. I doubt whether you will be able to mash the game at anything above 3 stars. One slight problem with be when you face Yao Ming, he just blocks everything so only good players need take him on! The gameplay within a match is really fluid and the repeats look really good. Lots of attention to detail when this game was designed which will keep you coming back for more I'm sure.

The all-star game is done very well, you can do a 3 point shootout, slam dunk contest and all star matches. All done very well and you do get a feel of the razzmatazz that goes with the game.

The 1-on-1 street match is good but could be done better, it is too easy to sprint around your opponent and dunk. The dynasty option will keep you entertained for hours. One word of caution is to check the specs of this game as on my laptop there was no ground imagery which really ruined things! Also play with a USB controller because this will greatly enhance your gameplay.

For a true Basketball fan, this game is the real deal.

Looking at all the reviews on different sites about NBA LIVE 2005, I was tempted to test it. Its, undoubtedly, one of the best basketball games ever made by EA Sports. It has lots of extra options unlike the other NBA SERIES. For basketball lovers, this is a game not to miss.
