WHAT IS MEANT TO BE
i read the review from " a music fan", what is this dude on, blame necro for slack production ill bills solo was weak, have you heard the same albums i have?, necro has been the most dope and respected producer of the last 12 months, the goretex album sounds how goretex wants it to sound, he is the dusted wizard hence the low fi production and dusted rhymes, we all have our opinions but this guy misses something, also states no one cares about mr hyde and necro when it comes to rhymes?, huh, necro started this shhh necro is the original dope psycho logical rapper underground legend, ill bills album is straight banging, listen to amercian history x and tell me that aint the dopest beat you heard in a while.THIS ALBUM IS DOPE AND DUSTED.
Not what Gore is known for
A lof of different opinions are raised about this particular LP..However heres mine. I think this is straight disappointing, Gore is not his usual self and so it aint bangin' simple as, Doesnt compare to whats wrong with Bill, or even sabocalpypse...save your money n cop them 2 or "The future is now" - Non Phixion. One Peace
The best solo effort from the Non Phixion team
Since 'The Future Is Now', Non Phixion seem to have lost some momentum. Personally, I cast blame upon Necro insisting to steal production credits for all of his camp's albums and his ambition to produce 10 albums within a year. This seems to have left his production becoming generic and uninspired.
Ill Bill's solo disappointed, with bland beats and seemingly throwaway rhymes. Sabac's effort stood for more, but came off in an exetremely corny way. No one really cares about Mr Hyde or Necro when it comes to the raps. It was on Goretex to deliver, and he did.
The album suffers from the same production values as the other solos. Necro's beats have become simplistic and formulaic but we are blessed with a few progressively tight and original gems on this release as well as the standard bangers we expect from Necro.
As for Goretex, well, the guy's raps have very little consistency and the guy can't rhyme for more than a bar without punching in it seems, but this is why we love him. He delivers the most ridiculous imagery in a stream of consciousness way, bringing across a brutal and fatalistic atmosphere. His delivery demands your attention, and the huge amount of energy in his rhymes forces you to get involved.
One critism I have is that the album seems to be made by numbers. You're left thinking that alot of the rhymes were there simply to take up space rather than being there to get a point across, but nevertheless, this album won't disappoint and stands as one of the best releases this year.
The fact that this constitutes only a three star rating is emphatic of the decline in quality in the music industry. Non Phixion groupies will lap this up as standard, but this also will satisfy those who are left with a hunger for the raw energy that Non Phixion burst into the game with.
