Tough Pilates
This dvd is great it contains two half hour tough pilates workouts and a bonus 10 min workout.
This is definitely a challenge and I would recommend it to people who enjoyed MTV Pilates and are looking for the next challenge. MTV Pilates focused on abs where as this dvd works abs, arms and legs.
Each of the two half hour workouts works abs, arms and legs and you can create your own work out by mixing the two (hense the name pilates mix). However I didn't find this feature to the dvd that useful as I normally just do workout 1 on one day and work out 2 on another and add the 10 min on the end if I want a longer workout.
The 10min section is really good for a quick workout, you work 5 mins on one side of the body and then 5 mins on the other.
It is a shame that this is not available on region 2 yet but if you have a multi region player I would definitely recommend this dvd but I would try MTV Pilates and MTV yoga first.
Not for beginners
I was advised to try pilates to strenghten muscles after having my baby. The music was upbeat and inspired an interest in pilates. There were models demonstrating beginners and intermidate poses but the camera focused on Kirsten in the advanced poses and I found it hard to keep up and quite tough. I am now looking for a dvd more orintated for beginners.

I love this DvD It is absolutely fabulous!!! I am new to pilates and this DVD has shown me how hard it is to master the moves, to find your core and be able to balance and excercie at the same time!! This is a great DVD i do it 4 times or more a week and am looking forward to mastering the positions.. Its important to remember that every movement in the Pilates method has a purpose. Every instruction is vitally important to the success of the whole. To leave out any detail is to forsake the intrinsic value of the exercise. The focus on doing one precise and perfect movement, rather than many halfhearted ones!!
Eventually this precision becomes second nature, and carries over into everyday life as grace and economy of movement.
