wonderful Album
A Canadian friend mentioned Sophie Milman as a great new jazz singer. I must admit that this album is very good. Sophie is an excellent vocalist/stylist and the content of the album showed a marvelous diversity of styles. The nearest British singer to Sophie is Clare Teal and that says everything. The only difference is that Clare writes some of her own material and Sophie doesn't. The old standards such "I Can't Give You Anyrhing But Love Baby," "Guilty," My Heart Belongs To Daddy", and "My Baby Just Cares For Me," are given great new arrangements."Back Home To Me," is truly a wonferful track that shows off Sophie's vocal ability and range. The only question that I have is when is Sophie going to tour the U.K?
