Synopsis
Frank Farmer, a professional bodyguard, is asked to look into protection for a pop star and her extended family. With grave reservations he agrees to take the assignment refusing to compromise for the sake of her career. After a hostile start the inevitable happens and they fall in love.

A Must Have For Any Movie Fan !!
This really is a must have, it starts with Rachel Marron (Whitney Houston) as a famous singer/actress, unaware she is being stalked and that there was a bomb planted in her dressing room and that someone broke into her house while her son Fletcher slept in the next room, her manager decides to hire a bodyguard frank farmer (kevin Costner) without telling her the real reason, Frank has to act like nothing serious is going on, until she is in a club shooting a video and the crowd gets rowdy, Frank has to go in a rescue her, Rachel then realises she does need him by her side, so Rachel asks Frank out on a "date" because she is afraid to be apart from him, one thing a bodyguard shouldnt do is fall in love with his client but thats exactly what happens here. This ia a movie for men and women because it has lots of action and is a love story,(the oscar scene near the end is brilliant,) it also has a few suprises along the way, with suspect stalkers.
Its one of these films where you want it to be the perfect love story ending but i will let you see that for yourselves.
Costner and Houston are great together in this film, they have got a real chemistry on screen.

If you have never seen this movie before, you have to buy this its well worth the money, its got a really good soundtrack too.

SHE`S SAFE NOW
Not the film if you`r looking for a deep thinking, intelligent and classic movie full of Oscar winning talent. BUT if you want entertainment, action and a few twists and turns give this a go. I really enjoyed the whole film, its` plot is simple (bodyguard falls in love with spoilt client) and the acting is ok. KC fits the role well, and Whitney is a good singer which more than makes up for her jitters on debut. Well worth the money so add to your collection, you will not regret it.

Could have been so much better
I love Whitney Houston's voice, she is one of the best singers of my time and the soundtrack to this movie is brilliant, however, there's considerable room for improvement in her acting. As much as I love this movie, I can admit there are more than a few flaws. Kevin Costner is wooden, I have always found him to be, even Richard Gere shows more emotion than Costner, however I think it kind of works in the character he plays, which is Frank Farmer, Rachel Marron's (Houston's) fearless, emotionless and facial expressionless bodyguard. She is, much like her real life character, a popular, spoilt brat of a diva who finds herself the target of a stalker who threatens to kill her. At first Rachel thinks this is all a big joke and seems irritated by Farmer who monitors her every move, but after rescuing her from an ugly crowd one night whilst performing only then does she take it all seriously. Ultimately, predictably and unconvincingly Rachel and Frank fall in love. Although a very charming and endearing story, the acting lets the whole movie down.
