Dancing For the Rhythm-less
I've been looking for a good workout video to do in-home that would also help me learn a few dance steps. On impulse I picked this up whilst shopping and gave it ago.
I've done a lot of home exercise videos with various levels of skill involved, but I really, really enjoyed myself with this one. It never got too intense, tricky, or aerobic. When they said it would last an hour, I thought, "I'll never make it..!" but it really wasn't that much of a strain.
I'm severely un-coordinated and rhythmless, and I was amazed at how much I could pick up on the first go. There are optional sections where you can do the whole routine a few times through, but the steps are reviewed so many times that you'll probably feel game for giving it a go. It was a lot of fun!
Funk Fit
Decided to buy this DVD because I like the girls from Coronation Street and the idea of a dance video sounded much more fun than standard aerobics. The dances were fun to do although not as hard as I'd hoped and I didn't feel like I'd worked as much as I'd have liked too. Will definately continue to do the DVD as it is fun to do and an hours exercise at a medium intensity is still beneficial.
Good cardio workout not too fiddly, not too boring
I like this workout. It takes me about 45 minutes to do and at the end of it I definitely feel I've had a good workout, although I'd probably rate myself as being of intermediate fitness only. The format of this workout is a warmup, then four different sections where the three girls and 'Troy the Trainer' run through different routines. Then there are two short sections at the end where they run through all the moves together, followed by a cool down. There aren't any floor exercises, it's a cardio-only type of workout. The dance moves are pretty fun and not to difficult (although unless you're pretty light on your feet, the 'shuffle' move is hard to do - think Michael Jackson). The general feel of the workout is down to earth and relaxed (not too much rah rah hype carry on). I'd recommend this!
